Building a house from the LSTC or how to build a summer house quickly
Contents ✓
The frame of the country house can be built not only from wood, but also from thin steel zinc-plated profiles (according to LSTK technology).
And the second variant of construction is superior to the first one in all respects.
LSTC - lightweight steel thin-walled structures. Construction technology from LSTC allows you to build quality affordable housing, and in a short time.
Metal began to be mastered in construction in the 18th century. Already in 1811, during the reconstruction of the Bread Market building in Paris, a metal dome was erected, equal in size to the famous dome of the Cathedral of St. Petra in Rome. In 1889, the most famous steel structure appeared - the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
6 advantages of building a low-rise building from LSTK (light steel thin-walled structures)
- Light weight LSTK design: 7 square. The meter of the finished building on average weighs about 150 kg.
- There is no need to make a fully buried foundation: with a small weight of the building, you can do with a shallow, shallow or pile foundation.
- Saves time, materials and labor.
- Increased stiffness and cohesion of the structure: houses made of light steel thin-walled constructions are seismic resistant.
- Exceptional flexibility of building layout: it is not difficult to move certain partitions at the design stage. Walls and beam systems are easy to replace even in a built and habitable house.
- Variety of exterior finishes: construction of light steel thin-walled structures is perfectly combined with any materials - brick, wood, stone, etc.
Steel structures of LSTK have a lot of advantages: they are stronger and more durable than wooden ones, they are not rotting, they are not afraid of sunlight and moisture, several times lighter in weight and quite comparable to wooden ones at a price. The only and seemingly insurmountable restriction in the use of metal structures in housing construction for a long time was the high thermal conductivity of steel. The problem was successfully solved with the help of so-called thermo profiles of thin-rolled galvanized steel.
The idea is simple: in the thermoprofile made through slots of a special shape, which maximizes the way the heat spreads in the transverse direction. As a result, the thermal conductivity of a steel perforated thermoprofile approaches thermal conductivity
In this case, the strength of the profile and its resistance to deformation remain. Thus, it becomes possible to collect metal frames of residential buildings without fear of "cold bridges", and thus successfully solve the problem of heat savings.
The technology of installing such a house
All metal structures are manufactured at the factory with high accuracy, which eliminates the need for builders to fit parts “in place”. Assembling is performed using special self-tapping drilling screws (advanced self-tapping screws) - such joints do not loosen over time.
The steel skeleton of such a frame house (the frame of walling, flooring of the first floor and roof trusses) is assembled from thermal profiles of various sections, the supporting elements of the internal floors from profiled steel beams. Beams from the profile of various sections allow you to overlap rooms of considerable width without intermediate supports. An ordinary two-story cottage made of light steel thin-walled structures is assembled in 2-3 weeks by a team of 4 people without the use of heavy equipment.
All engineering communications are laid inside partitions and ceilings. The inside of the frame is sheathed with various materials: OSB boards, plywood, drywall, etc. Inside the walls of the house, floors and roof, in the cells formed by the supporting elements of the frame, a heater is laid - usually sheets of mineral wool. In order for the insulation to be well ventilated and always in conditions of normal relative humidity, not damp, not frosted in winter, it is useful to arrange the so-called “ventilated facade” outside the house. Its load-bearing trusses are also assembled from galvanized steel profiles (not necessarily “thermo”). Outside the house, standard finishing can be done: plaster, brick, artificial stone, tile, etc.
LSTC metal profile - A good solution for those who are going to reconstruct or build on the attic. Due to the low weight of the structures, reinforcement of the load-bearing walls will not be required, and high-tech will allow performing work in the shortest possible time.
