    Eriophyllum Point
This bright "ball" adorns my garden throughout the season, although it becomes truly "sunny", that is, blooming, from June to July. The rest of the time, it warms the soul with a silvery look of leaves.
A perennial with a height of only 20-30 cm - this is during flowering. And after it, when I cut off the faded inflorescences, it is a pillow. Its foliage hibernates, and without any shelter.
Eriophyllum prefers sunny, open places, and grows and blooms best on poor sandy soil.
I propagate it by dividing the bush in August after flowering or by seeds that can be sown in May. It is better to grow open seedlings in pots or cassettes, and then in August plant (transfer) to a permanent place in a flower garden.
Another valuable quality of the "sunny" flower is that it is not affected by pests and diseases.
Soil blooming eriophyllum is good in rocky gardens, borders, in the foreground mixbor-ders in the vicinity of the seaside armeria, saxifrage, lumbago, acena, Carpathian bell, stonecrops.

There are many plants with yellow petals in my flower garden. Perhaps the most beautiful are decorative sunflowers. They say that more than 150 varieties of them are bred, but so far I grow one, and I really like it - it's a Teddy bear. Plants are not too tall, less than 1 m. Bloom somewhere in the middle of summer with double flowers with bright yellow petals. They look very impressive! I plant sunflowers on a separate flowerbed on the line of the flower garden far from the fence.
There are many suns, so they blossom luxuriantly and long, before the onset of cold weather.

I sow the seeds immediately on the flowerbed, as the soil warms up. But first, I sprout them - I fold a piece of gauze several times, add a little wood ash there, moisten, spread seeds on the fabric, regularly spray with water until seedlings appear.
Then I delete the weak plants. Regularly watering the planting and a couple of times over the summer I feed the infusion of slurry. More sunflowers do not need anything!

I have a wedding in September. We want to decorate the hall for the celebration with fresh flowers. To save money, they decided to grow them themselves. Tell me, which is better to choose? When to sow and how to care? It is important that they last until the end of September.

I would advise you to choose dahlias. They bloom from the middle of summer and until the frosts. Give preference to large-flowered varieties (diameter - 20-30 cm). Purchased tubers need to be etched. Soak them for 30 minutes in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Prepare boxes for seedlings. At the bottom, pour sand, perlite, sawdust or coconut fiber. Spread the tubers so that they do not interfere with each other. Then pour it so that the ground just covers them. This will help to avoid loss of moisture.

Further care for germinating tubers will consist in periodic moisturizing and airing. When the first shoots appear, the boxes should be moved to a bright place with a temperature of about + 15-16 degrees. When the threat of frost passes, carefully remove the dahlias from the substrate and plant them on a permanent place, pour a handful of mineral fertilizer and ash into the landing holes. To get powerful stems and large flowers, do not forget to plant your plants. During the entire season, it is necessary to remove the sprouts that appear in the axils of the leaves in a timely manner.

Snapdragon is one of the favorite decorations of our flower garden. Of
various varieties, we chose a bright red Torch (a bush in this variety about 50 cm in height) and a red-lilac Topaz (85 cm). In March, we begin to sow seeds on seedlings in boxes, which are then covered with glass to retain moisture. In 8-10 days sprouts appear. A month later transplant the seedlings in the cups, and in May we plant the seedlings in the open ground. The distance between the plants should be about 10-12 cm. Once the seedlings take root, we feed them.
Snapdragon is not afraid of cold and even frost, so it grows well in our latitudes. But still he has small whims: he loves light and light fertile soils (although on sandy loamy and loamy also gets accustomed). Before planting
seedlings in the ground, for each 1 square. m we introduce according to 3-4 kg of humus or compost, 150-200 g of wood ash and some mineral fertilizers. Then we dig the soil and level the beds. If you sprinkle a small layer of peat gaps between plants, the snapdragon will be more abundant blossom.
Watering this flower is needed in dry and hot weather, but even then the soil should not be waterlogged. Excess moisture can make the plant unstable to diseases. Feeding should begin about 2 weeks after landing on a permanent place: nitrogen, potash and phosphate fertilizers. When the first buds appear, we feed it a second time with a solution of urea, superphosphate and potassium sulfate for 10 l of water.
