The right greenhouse - tips for the device

How to properly arrange and arrange a greenhouse in the country
When planning a greenhouse, first of all it is necessary to decide,
- what plants you will plant in the greenhouse;
- what area under the building are ready to allocate;
- how to arrange beds and approaches.
Only having received answers to these questions, you can proceed to construction.
In small greenhouses with a width of 1,5-2 m, it makes no sense to do more than two beds. The most effective is their placement along the perimeter with the central passage between them from the door. In greenhouses with a width of more than 2.5 m, respectively, it is possible to equip a larger number of beds.
For the cultivation of low- and medium-sized crops, the beds should be placed from the north to the south. High plants (from 2 m) are better placed in the greenhouse in rows from west to east.
The width of the beds along the perimeter should not exceed 50-60 cm, since it should always be possible to easily reach the furthest corner. The width of the passage depends on its further use: in principle, it is quite convenient to pass along a path of width 40 cm, but here you can easily transport the wheelbarrow only along the aisle with a width of at least 70 cm.
Forms of greenhouses
One-run greenhouse is convenient for "stepped" landings.
Tall plants are planted along the high wall, and medium and low plants are planted along the low wall.
Have a one-stage greenhouse from west to east with a high wall to the north.
B gable can be placed on the walls of the shelves, and in the center to grow tall plants. In this case, it is located from north to south.
The arched greenhouse is suitable for growing plants exclusively on beds. The height of the greenhouse depends on the height of the grown plants and vice versa. The rectangular shape provides the most efficient use of space.

Geodesic greenhouse (greenhouse-hemisphere) It is suitable for growing low-and medium-sized plants. In the center of it you can place a black barrel with water. Heating by day, the tank will keep the temperature in the greenhouse at night, and also provide the necessary humidity.
Tip: If the area is uneven, place the greenhouse on a slope from the north (top) to the south (bottom). If the slope is not in the direction of the south, place the beds in the greenhouse across the slope, so the sunlight will be distributed most optimally. We save the space of the "right greenhouse"
When planning greenhouses more than 2,5 m wide, do not try to come up with a clever layout with wide beds, separated by cross rows. Long narrow beds and passages along them are the most optimal variant of the functional use of space. If necessary, it is possible to divide a broader bed with one longitudinal row spacing.
PLEASE NOTE
For the cultivation of early crops, beds that are elevated to 80 are ideal. See the borders on the outside are painted black. The bottom of the beds is lined with humus and grass, and the earth is poured from above. This layer-lining, re-heating, will warm up the soil.
3D greenhouse planning
Efficiently use the space of the greenhouse will help a variety of shelves and shelving. Of course, if you are planning to grow tall plants-the vertical layout of the beds is useless. But here growing seedlings, early greens and root crops, a variety of pots and bookshelves, coupled with your imagination will help bopee functionally use the size of the greenhouse.

Root crops in the greenhouse
The earth in the greenhouse is loose, fertile, as we fertilize and mulch it every year. But I plant tomatoes in it spaciously, so that the bushes do not interfere with each other. Therefore, every time I want a free space to do something.
Last season, I decided to plant a row of carrots on one bed (it is made of sleepers and upholstered with metal from the inside) at a distance of 10 cm from the side, and Margelan radish on the other. Only thinning was left: no weeding was required, and watering and top dressing came from tomatoes.
Digging root crops in early October - it was necessary to free and prepare the greenhouse for the new season. The carrots that I have grown this way for more than once have turned out to be a feast for the eyes - smooth, dry, healthy, 15–20 cm long. I have never succeeded on a regular garden bed. With 3 linear m collected a large bucket of root crops. But with the radish came a slip. Since the second half of July, I stopped watering tomatoes, and, apparently, there was little moisture in the radish. So she did not grow up.

I want the garden to look beautiful, and the plants feel comfortable. This I lead to a story about my ordeals with a greenhouse for cucumbers.
I used to cover a greenhouse made of 1,7 × 1,5 m arcs with plastic wrap. With a strong wind, the film flew off. And next year the material already looked untidy. In addition, it was necessary to water the cucumbers growing there even in the rain, because moisture did not pass through the film.
Last year I made a shelter from white non-woven material. Cloth cut in half and stitched on the sewing machine, making a seam in the middle. That in the wind the fabric does not fly off, pro-
she let her not only on top, but also in two places under the arc.
I cut out the sidewalls and stitched them to the base. That sidewall, where the entrance, made a little wider and connected to the main canvas is not completely. I attached 3 ribbons to this not sewn side and exactly the same ones to the base. They are easy to tie and untie.
Cucumbers themselves feel great under such cover: they are provided with ventilation, rain watering. Do not open every morning, and close polyethylene in the evening, as before. Nonwoven material is perfectly erased and a few years looks like new. It is important only that it is of high density.

After the construction of a greenhouse of polycarbonate, a ventilation problem arose. I found the scheme of ventilation on the Internet with the help of two cans and a window leaf on the axes. But the window was constantly jammed, and even in the vacuum can often sucked the water.
Ready-made devices are sold, but they are all designed for straight-line greenhouse surfaces, and expensive. What I've done?
Has got in shop a room thermostat with temperature adjustment from 0 to 30 °. channel cylindrical fan 0 125 mm and metal hose 125 mm
In order for the system to work correctly and without failures, I set the thermostat so that sunlight does not fall on it. I have a chipboard, and the end of the metal hose hangs along the edge of the greenhouse at a height of 300 mm from the ground on the north side. On the opposite side of the six-meter greenhouse, I cut two frames with a non-woven material with a density of 40, which ensures good ventilation during the day and protection of plants from cooling at night. The thermostat is set at a temperature of 25 °, at a height of 1 m from the ground. When the temperature rises above 25 °, the system works and air is forced into the greenhouse.
Fan power 20 Watt per hour. The switch of this system is on the veranda of the house.
And if the greenhouse is 9 meters high, you can additionally install a second fan, and on the opposite side, insert a wooden frame with a nonwoven material into the upper opening above the door to improve the ventilation.
