Siderata as a method of irrigation
Watering in the siderat wells
A summer resident, having hardly waited for the evening coolness, bucket after bucket pours tons of water onto his plantings - a familiar picture. Hands are taken away, but there is little sense, the heat reduces all efforts to nothing. And then the summer resident begins to think.
And he finds very simple solutions ... done.
After planting, I plant rye or mustard in the deepened holes near the plants and shrubs - they have the root system of the rod type, goes to great depths.
After a year, it will rot and leave behind a kind of natural pump to feed irrigation water to the roots and back. I mean the extraction of moisture from deeper layers of soil into the same root area.
And the roots themselves on these capillary courses will easily find their food.
A hole deepened by half a shovel is filled with a bucket of water or a nutrient solution - for example, herbal infusion. The liquid is quickly absorbed.
After that, I close the holes with dried grass.
If necessary, I pour a nutrient solution with bacteria (effective microorganisms). In the drought, I pour the starting solution into the siderat wells so that this irrigation system continues to work. After planting the fruit plant in the first
Roots instead of hoses
I want to tell the readers about my method of watering plants with the use of siderates. It has long been known about the benefits of crops such as oats, rye, mustard, phacelia, Maslenitsa radish, rapeseed and others.
After harvesting the main vegetable crops, they help to create a crop rotation, disinfect and improve the soil structure, fertilizing it with a rotted root system. But I apply them in a slightly different plane.
More than once I observed how some gardeners for watering, for example, grapes use pipes, dug around the bushes. I'm not a supporter of clogging of plots with foreign objects.
Everything should be natural.
But what if we make drainage holes with the help of green manure? It is said - time takes food and develops due to fertilized soil in the planting pit. What about next? Where to get the necessary nutrients when the roots come out of the pit outside, and even if the soil on the site is not very?
I do the following after planting the seedling. On the edges of the landing pit, from the outside, I make an annular depression, into which I sow a string of siderates.
In the year of planting, as usual, I water the planting pit. The next year, watering and feeding will be done in the already prepared ring drainage system.
It came from the rotten roots of the syderates that grew during the season. Every year in the spring, I plant the next ring of rye or mustard, which serve for irrigation for the next year and the previous ring is covered with earth.
If rye is sown, in the autumn I shave it with a shovel, and the green mass lays down in the near-trunk circle, serves as food for the underground inhabitants and the plant itself.
Of course, the shovel, like other garden tools, must be sharpened sharp. For several years, while the tree enters the time of its fruiting, the whiplash circle turns loose and fertile, to the depth of occurrence of all the roots.
In the future, for irrigation, you can do with drainage blades according to the projection of the crown according to the first method.

The first is water, the second is air
Due to the fact that the soil under the plants is loose, nightly moisture from the air and dew penetrate well to the roots - this is how our green pets feed on air, as they say now.
I do not understand how it is possible every day, after the wild heat, to run around in the evening with a watering can in the beds!
In the morning, there was no sense of evening watering, the land was bare.
No, I fully support those gardeners who believe that the period of natural farming is coming.
Sowing green manure and mulching - this is the key to obtaining excellent yields, and from the heat there are other ways
The most effective is the shading of plants using the used film. But not only!
Scoring pegs under the plants, for example, I sow several sunflower seeds on the south side of the currant bushes.
Seyu under the winter, in the summer in the heat, they well pritenyayut bushes, and bare earth should not be! Imagine only what will happen if the forest, the edge of the forest, "shave" to the ground! All withers, rummages, crackles.
And about the soil inhabitants, and there's nothing to say. So take care of the land, it will thank you.

Is it necessary to sow a cover crop, for example, oats in the early spring when sowing seeds (a legume-bogy mixture of 7 components)?
#
If the legume grass mixture is sown as a green fertilizer, a cover crop is not needed. If this mixture is a perennial and is intended for use as a green feed, the cover crop is possible, because In the first year, the herbs need to grow well, and the legumes first grow very slowly.
