Loop Lingonberry (September 5) - Lingonberry ripen in the forests and swamps. Berry is respected for its healing properties: juice is used for colds and tuberculosis. Dense, hard lingonberry leaf is harvested in September, at the time of picking berries; they don’t harvest in the summer - it turns black during drying. Dry in a dry, ventilated place (or in the oven at 35 * C), stored in linen bags for up to 3 years. Leaves on the composition of vitamins (especially the content of vitamin C) and minerals are not inferior to those who drink cranberry tea, vitamin deficiency is not threatened.

Lingonberry seedlings are planted in the spring (in late April - early May).

Put the plants at the same depth as they grew in the nursery. The earth around the young plant is compacted and well watered.

The soil on the cowberry should be under a constant layer of mulch. I advise you to fill it with sand or sawdust.

I want to tell you how lingonberries can be propagated by dividing a bush or segments of rhizomes that have buds or growth shoots. They must be harvested in late April - early May. In open ground, it is necessary to prepare a substrate from slightly decomposed peat with the addition of sand (3: 1). There
it is necessary to plant rhizome cuttings of length 10-12 cm with the kidney. After rooting, the plants grow 1-2 a year later, after which they can be planted in a permanent place, already more seriously prepared for the growth of cranberries.

Lingonberry vulgaris - a small shrub with dark green leaves. In May, it is covered with tassels of pink flowers, replaced by juicy red berries. Lingonberry is literally a panacea for urolithiasis, jade, gout, as an anti-inflammatory and diuretic. Do not miss the time of collecting leaves, it comes during the flowering period or in the autumn when the berries ripen.

We collect lingonberries on our site
Not for one year I tried to "tame" a forest cow, but I could not do it.
When she decided to stop her experiments, she accidentally discovered seedlings of garden lingonberry in the nursery catalog. Now I get a crop of healthy berries twice a season - in early August and October.
Cowberry loves good lighting and acidic soils, so the dugout box was dug in a sunny spot and prepared a soil mix of peat, sand and pine sawdust (ratio of about 5: 1: 1). Acidity, as shown by the meter, is four, which is optimal for cranberries.
Young cowberry from time to time watered, weeded. Feed the beginnings on
third year. In the spring - with nitrogen fertilizer (1 tbsp. Per 1 sq. M, but it is better to use not in dry form, but dissolved in water, so as not to burn the leaves). During fruiting she used superphosphate (30 g per 1 sq. M) and potassium sulfate (15 g per 1 sq. M).
In the heat you need to take care of the mulch. It protects cranberries from drying, improves the air permeability of the soil and mutes the weeds. Its layer must be at least 2 cm. Mulch better choose one that will acidify the soil. I used fir wood chips.
My cranberries have never been affected by pests or diseases. But I always inspect the plants to stop their spread in time.
