My husband and I have 51 acres of land. And only in four years we managed with its accomplishment. Now my husband is engaged in major repairs of the house, and I have all the gardening things, greenhouses (I have three) and livestock. This year I conducted an experiment. On two hundred square meters of land (without digging in the spring and autumn), she indicated narrow beds and wide passages, she slightly loosened the ground with a chopper and planted the entire assortment of garden crops (each a little bit). And these same cultures were planted in the plowed land - the old fashioned way. The difference was there! And not only in the crop, but also in the structure of the soil, in the amount of labor expended.
I was very pleased. I went to this part of the garden, as if on an excursion. You do not need to dig, weeding to a minimum (grass mulch works). The weeding of these two hundred parts took me about half an hour: with a hoe, go along the paths and scrape off the shredded perennials - birch, wheat grass, horseradish and others. The bulk of the time went into the traditionally excavated territory. I even regretted that I had allocated only two hundred parts for the experiment. But the experiment began even without preliminary preparation of beds in the fall.
Now I have broken the entire garden except the potato field into narrow beds and wide aisles. I fell asleep on top of the beds with rotted hay from under my goats and all the garden residues. He burned the tops of tomatoes and potatoes, ash - to the beds. All this is a winter ration for underground residents.
