Our daylily (I do not know the name of the variety) blooms with bright yellow simple flowers, but the amount that is simultaneously revealed gives our family a positive sea.
In April, I mulch plants with humus and work on the leaves of Epin (according to the instructions).
Daylilies do not need to be watered often, only with prolonged drought: in the evening I pour water abundantly under the root.
In August, a month after the peak flowering, in order to ensure the quality and quantity of buds in the next year, I feed it with a complex mineral fertilizer: I spread the granules between bushes, I fill them in the soil, and then this area is well watered.
In autumn (September-October), I dig out old bushes, divide into several parts and plant them. I'm watering.
My daylily is hibernating without shelter.

Daylily (Hemerocallis) is a very hardy and durable herbaceous perennial. In one place, without transplantation, it can grow up to 15 years, but without rejuvenation over time, daylily completely refuses to bloom - be sure to take this moment into account. And another thing: the plant feels best in a sunny place (it tolerates shading well, but lack of light does not affect flowering in the best way) and on fertile soil with good water permeability. A big plus of daylily - slugs will not burrow on it.

It is important in the care!
Modern hybrid daylilies are more capricious and demanding than their species relatives. The guarantee of their successful cultivation is adherence to agricultural techniques.
♦ Landing - on a sunny place (illumination - not less than 6 hours per day). Dark colored varieties are better to shade from the midday sun.
♦ Soil is nutritious, loose with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction.
♦ When planting, the root neck is buried no more than 2,5-3cm.
♦ Watering should be abundant at the depth of the suction roots during the whole vegetation period. With a lack of moisture, the buds turn yellow and crumble, the flowers fade, the coloring becomes uneven and acquires not the shades characteristic of the variety. Slows down vegetative reproduction.
♦ Mulching of landings will preserve moisture in the soil.
♦ Daylilies are very responsive to feeding. The use of complex mineral fertilizers in spring and during budding will promote good growth and quality flowering. In the autumn period, when the breeding process is actively proceeding, it is possible to use phosphorus-potassium or wood ash. Plant daylilies on raised beds, as they negatively relate to stagnation of water, especially in spring.
