    Flowers for the nursery

The question of plants for the nursery arose in a conversation with the youngest daughter. She and her husband recently bought a new apartment and asked me, as an avid flower girl, for advice. Here are some things to consider when creating this green corner.
Children love small objects and look at them with curiosity
in details. So the flowers are attracted by medium-sized ones, with small leaves and flowers, with a thin pattern of veins and a pattern on the leaves.
Do not place your plants high. Place blooming saintpaulias, begonias, primroses on low shelves. So you will protect the child, and it will be more convenient to look at the flowers, as well as take care of them.
Choosing an assortment for girls, choose species with bright double flowers: tuberous begonia, fuchsia, violet. Boys will love peperomia with its unusual spikelets. Complement the composition with specimens with bright stripes, spots, picturesque drawings: rheo, tradescantia, arrowroot, variegated begonias.
If you hang a lamp over a green corner at a distance of 60-70 cm from the tops of the plants, even in winter it will always be in flowers.
Explain to the children that it is impossible to pluck (especially try to taste) the leaves - many plants are poisonous.
