I'm a beginner gardener, so many concepts and terms are incomprehensible to me. Here, for example, what is ringing? Is this technique possible to accelerate and increase fruiting?

Banding is an agrotechnical technique applied to fruit trees to cause them to tighten flower buds. Banding is carried out only on strong fatliquoring plants, mainly apple trees. This method does not help pear and pitted, but harms more. It can be produced only on secondary branches and in no case can be done on the skeletal branches of the crown, as the whole plant will weaken.

On the branches remove the strip of bark along the ring, in a spiral. Place the cut with a varnish and tie with polyethylene or tape. As a result of the ringing, the outflow of sugars from the leaves to the roots stops. This method stimulates the laying of flower buds and accelerates the onset of fruiting.
