Growing hovenii (candy tree)
The first time I saw sweet choovy (or - popularly - candy tree) in Crimea. Before, I only read about it, but immediately recognized the plant.
HOW TO SEE A CANDY TREE?
I tore off a small twig with fruit from the tree, I brought it home. Fruit govens with seeds lay with me until November. Then he put the seeds in a bowl with wet sawdust, covered it with food film and sent it to the refrigerator. In March, I planted the stratified seeds in a box with a substrate of sand, sod and leafy soil (1: 2: 2), drowned in 0,5 cm. Then I put the box on the window sill, moistened the crop and covered it with glass.
Seeds are almost all. By May, the shoots stretched to 5-7 cm, and I planted the seedlings in separate pots. Extra plants handed out to friends, and 3 left the strongest ones. In June, put them in the garden.
THE FIRST WINDOW OF THE CANDY TREE
Over the summer, the trees grew to 50 cm. At the end of October they threw off the foliage. From one gardener I heard that he had a hibernation in the open ground under shelter of fallen leaves, straw mats, snow and normally tolerates frosts. Other gardeners arrange candy trees for the winter on warm unheated balconies. Touging can also spend the winter in a warm room (although it does bear fruit without a rest period worse). I have lowered seedlings in a cellar with temperature 2-6 °. In the spring, in the beginning of April, I took out the trees and put them on the glassed verandah, and a month later I moved to the garden.

POLISH WITH LEMON
Soil govion likes nutritious and loose (sandy loams). Watering it in the summer requires abundant. During wintering, the plant also occasionally watered.
Transplanting of budding trees should be done in the spring: the first 4-5 years on an annual basis, then for 4 years every 2 years and on already once in 3.
From April to October, twice a month I feed on the harvesting with complex fertilizers for subtropical crops. And even experienced gardeners recommend once a month to add to irrigation water citric acid in 1 st. l. on the bucket. From time to time, I wipe the leaves of the candy tree with a damp cloth and sprinkle them with warm water. In the spring I spend sanitary pruning.
ASIAN ROOTS OF THE CANDY TREE
Culture refers to the family of buckthorn. Its leaves are similar to poplar (in length to 18 cm, width to 12 cm). Flowers are white, fragrant (up to
7 mm in diameter) collected in the half-zonotics of the inflorescence. Appear in July. The tree is light-loving, with a spreading thick crown. In nature it grows up to 20 m, lives up to 40 years.
Homeland of the feast is considered Southeast Asia (India, China, Japan, Korea). From there it got to Europe.
In the southern regions of the country, in the Caucasus, the culture tolerates winters is relatively easy. Only occasionally, they say, it's slightly freezing.
TASTY DRUGS
Hangs used for decorative purposes and to strengthen loose slopes. Its small fruits (dry boxes with seeds) are inedible. In the food of the plant are thick, ornate, sweet and fragrant stems, ripening in the middle of September.
From one adult plant in the season, they gain up to 40 kg of such "candies" (my persecution was not yet fruitful). They are eaten fresh, dried, dried, added to drinks, confectionery. They cook candied fruits, jam, jelly. Of the young leaves, shoots and seeds of tincture make sweet syrup. They are treated with gastrointestinal disorders, constipation, kidney disease, taking cold and headache.

VEGETATIVE BREAD OF BREEDING
In ordinary flower shops I did not meet the seeds of harassment. But if one of your friends grows gobs, then ask him for green cuttings. Put them in the water, and after a couple of weeks, the branches will be allowed roots. Then plant the cuttings in a moist fertile substrate and cover for a week with transparent bags. When the plants get stronger, remove the greenhouse.
The second option - select a strong branch on the adult plant, wrap it with wet cotton wool, and on top a dark film. When the lay will give roots, cut the branch below the harness and plant in the soil. And now you have your own candy tree!
