10 the most beautiful varieties of PIONES
Beautiful varieties of pions - 10 the most ....
Which varieties do we like most? Or what kinds of varieties would we never refuse?
At first, as a rule, they are attracted to terry sorts, thick and heavy, but then you want something easier, and here the glance at semi-double and simple forms and on exquisite Japanese falls. And what about the color? There are already white and pink flowers in the garden, red and dark red are planted, but the heart of a true connoisseur of peonies will not calm down until it finds and planting yellow, cream, coral and other amazing varieties with bold color combinations and different forms of a flower.
So which of the pions are the most-most for me?
Ballerina.
The snow had not yet cleared up properly, and the red spouts of the peonies had already appeared from the newly begun thawing of the earth. What kind of brand is it? Ballerina!
Very early, blooms in late May, almost immediately after species peonies. It was given to the famous American breeder A.P. Sanders. The flower is semi-double, elegant and really resembles a skirt of a ballerina. At first it is creamy white, even with a greenish tinge, but brightens to pure white. Beautifully looks an adult bush with sturdy stems and large leaves-a real ornament of the spring garden.
Henry Boxtos (Henry Bockstoce).
Is it possible to live without Henry Boxtos? Of course not! The variety is medium-early, but so slowly opens its large buds on thick stems. You wait for him, you wait, you wait, and finally the petal begins to blossom behind the petals. The Reds. Blood colors. Huge. Heavy. Gustomahrovye.
Ideal pink-shaped, with an internal "bud". And when this inner bud is also opened, in the center are found small sharp petals and staminoids, partially framed by a yellow thin border. Incredible beauty grade. The spectacle of a blooming in full force of a bush enthralls all without exception.

Coral Sunset.
This is probably one of the most attractive varieties of the coral series by Samuel Wissing. It has the most saturated orange tint during dissolution and the largest number of tint transitions during flower aging - from peach pink to yellowish cream in the finale itself.
The flowers are large, semi-double, at first cup-shaped, then the outer petals begin to bend outward, forming a more complex form. The bush is above average, strong, the stems are strong and straight. The flowering of a large bush reveals at once the whole range of coral-cream shades thanks to the different opening times and the beginning of wilting flowers. No wonder its name translates as "coral sunset".
Pastelegance. A relatively new variety in Russia, we had it first shown at the exhibition of the club "Florists of Moscow" in the State Biological Museum of KA. Timiryazev in 2013 year and made a real sensation. It is so unusual color that it can not be called pink, yellow or peach, it is a unique shade, similar to a mixture of baked milk and melted milk.
The flower is semi-double or almost double, with a delicate aroma of vanilla.
The hybrid blooms in the mid-term. Billed by Bill Seidl in 1989 year, but long was almost unavailable. Now, large American and European nurseries began its commercial reproduction, but it is still rare and expensive.
Lemon Chiffon (Lemon Chiffon).
The real yellow color of grassy peonies, not Ito hybrids, has been the idea of fixing most breeders for a long time, until in 1981, David Rit registered Lemon Chiffon. It is really yellow with lemon tint. And most importantly, it keeps color for a long time. By the end of flowering, of course, a little burns out. The flower is almost double, but loosely, although in the first years after planting it has mostly half-mahogany flowers. A beautiful bush shape, sturdy stems and spectacular leaves. The period of flowering is medium-early.
Varenka.
At G.M. Dyakova, curator of the GBS peony collection, there is an article about domestic varieties with the title “Weak American versus our Varenka. So it is, against Varenka - weak! Varenka in every sense is the perfect variety, a masterpiece of domestic selection. Bred by Nadezhda Krasnova in 1958. A medium height, harmonious folded bush with strong stems and beautiful leaves. The flowers are dark pink, bushy, shiny, regular pink in shape and very fragrant. It blooms in medium terms.
Olympics-80.
For many years, there has been increased interest in this variety of Mikhail Akimov. It seems that the flowers are not huge, and the color is just pink, but there is something in it that catches. When an adult bush blooms, the eye cannot be taken away. The shape of the flower is classic bomb-shaped (when a ball of narrower petals is located on large petals of the first row), they are also curly in the Olympics-80 know, and yellow petalodia are visible inside the curls. Complicated combination. This must be seen, and even better - planted and admire every year. Every year, the bush grows older and shows itself brighter - blooms more abundantly, and the flowers become larger and denser.
White Cap.
This variety with the Japanese form of the flower is even more contrasting. Inside the dark pink outer petals are narrower white petals with pink strokes. This is one of the most spectacular and consistently flowering varieties with the Japanese form. The bush is slightly above average, with sturdy stems. Flowering period average. It looks very beautiful both in the garden and in the vase.

Kansas.
The colors of the pulp of a ripe watermelon - this is how Kansas is sometimes described. This is one of the best terry varieties, although not a novelty at all, launched by Beater in 1940. The flower is pink in shape with an internal "bud", bright red with a slight lilac hue. The bush is of medium height, keeps its shape perfectly thanks to strong stems. The flowering period is medium. Flowering bush looks just fantastically beautiful.
A separate peony blossoms for a short time, on average up to 10 days, sometimes due to side buds, flowering is prolonged. And I want to stretch the flowering of pions for the longest possible period. And when almost all the varieties have already faded, one of the latest varieties of Anne Cusens begins to unfold.
It is snow-white and dusky. Yes, somewhere in the depths a greenish-yellowish reflection is seen, but this only emphasizes the whiteness of the petals. The flowers are large, ideally pink, with the scent of a rose.
The height of the bush is slightly above average, and although the stems are thick enough and strong to hold large flowers, a support is necessary. Beautiful in the garden, and for the bouquet, the last bouquet of peonies.
It is possible to add many more beautiful peonies to the list of the most beloved of the huge number of existing varieties. Each florist, of course, has its own special favorites. But these varieties always attract attention with their beauty, both classical and new, which one day will necessarily become classic too.

What garden and school bouquets for the last call without peonies!
My favorite is the old French selection 'Festiva Maxima', which was bred in 1851. But in our time, this peony is very loved by gardeners. This variety has thick, pinkish flowers. They are snowy white, on separate central petals you can see raspberry strokes. The aroma of the flower is amazing. It blooms profusely and continuously, opening the beginning of flowering of early white varieties. It is beautiful both in compositions and planted by itself. I make beautiful magnificent bouquets of flowers.

Brown leaves at the peony
In early September, the grassy varietal peony completely burned. What to do? In the summer he blossomed.

Drinking leaves is not a consequence of the disease, it is rather a sign of early maturation. That is, the vegetation is completed. I believe that there are no reasons for concern in this case. But you can, when preparing a plant for winter, spray it with "Phytosporin" or better with a preparation that contains copper.

All June admired the flower garden of one of the residents of our summer cottage village - she has amazingly beautiful peonies! Everyone is going to meet her and ask her for a divorce peony root. When do peonies breed? How to plant them and how to prepare the ground?
#
The optimal way to multiply pions is to divide the rhizome. It is best to do this in early-mid August, so that the plant gets stronger and has time to prepare for the winter. Planting material should be taken from 4-b-year-old plants. Delenki should be medium in size, but not less than 5-7 cm in diameter, have 3-5 eyes and intact roots. Slices should be sprinkled with crushed coal or chalk, if necessary, the sections should be treated with a solution of copper sulfate or potassium permanganate.
It is best to plant peonies on open, slightly shaded and sheltered from cold winds areas with well drained neutral loamy soils and low groundwater table.
To plant one bush, you need to dig a hole 60 × 60 cm. Fill it with a mixture of humus or compost, sand, garden soil (take it all equally). For better rooting and root growth, add a liter jar of oven ash and 250 g of double superphosphate to the soil.
