HOW I REVERSE RID OF HOP

All summer residents know how difficult it is to get rid of hops. It grows strongly and interferes with garden plantings. It is very difficult to control the growth of hops, even a small part of the root, left in the ground, can sprout. But it is still possible to get rid of it.
All summer I kept hop roots under slate sheets so that the absence of light would weaken them.
I also watered the roots with a solution of table salt. In autumn, I dug around a hole about 50 cm deep.
And in winter, in frosts, he poured water into the pits, which froze, and with it the roots of the plant also froze.
In the spring, I simply removed the dry parts of the hops - that's all. So I defeated hops.

HORSETAIL AND HOP - A GREAT COUPLE
These herbs are always in my garden arsenal and home first aid kit. Miraculous tinctures and decoctions of them are able to save both humans and plants from diseases.
Here is how I prepare the decoction. I take 250 g of chopped aerial parts of each plant, pour 5 liters of cold water, insist for 12 hours, then boil for 3-5 minutes and filter. I dilute the cooled concentrate with water 1: 5. This remedy very effectively protects plants, especially pumpkin and nightshade crops, from fungal diseases. I recommend to everyone.

Behind my fence is an old groomed garden. All the weeds that grow there, encroach on my possessions. I struggle with them with varying success. But there is one plant that, alas, wins the battle. As soon as the spring sun warms the earth a little, it immediately “pops out” of the earth and rapidly develops. This hop is a very smart and tenacious vine. She “smells inside”, where there is support, and directs the stems to her. An interesting detail - the plant braids the fence only clockwise.

Hop is a dioecious plant, which means it has male and female specimens. You can distinguish them during flowering. The flower in the male is modest and, after flowering, is completely showered. Feminine blooms in clusters, from which cones are then formed. They are covered with yellow droplets. You touch such a bunch and yellow pollen will sprinkle from it. The aggressor neighbor took control. She fenced the roots by digging pieces of slate into the soil. I cut off the extra shoots during the season. She noticed that hops grow better on moist soil and tend to join the sprays forming thickets. They say the plant has healing properties. But do not forget that it is poisonous. Even pests do not risk them to regale themselves.

From hop cones make excellent cosmetics. Let me give you 2 recipe, which I apply myself and get excellent results.

For the preparation of cosmetic ice take 2 Art. l cones, pour 250 ml of boiling water, insist 20 minutes, filter. Then I add 1% tincture of Eleutherococcus extract, stir the liquid, pour it into ice molds and put it in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator.
I rub my face with ice cubes in the morning and in the evening. This allows you to keep it fresh and gives the skin a tone.

The second tool - a conditioner for strengthening hair - is prepared from 5 tbsp. l hop cones, which I fill with 500 ml of water and boil under the lid over low heat for 15 minutes, then half an hour I insist and filter. It is very useful to rinse with this liquid.
    hair after washing.

My balcony overlooks a busy highway, and before I had hardly opened it. All the curtains there instantly turned black. Once I came up with the idea to replace my tulle curtains with "hoppy" ones - to grow hops on the balcony and with the help of its dense foliage protect yourself from street dust.
Since the root system of hops is well developed, I took large pots, from 6 l. I dug up small seedlings from my friends at the dacha. As soon as the plants became entrenched, I stuck the sticks in the soil, and attached them to a thick fishing line at the full height of the balcony.

Hops do not require special care, but I still fed it 1 time with complex mineral fertilizer. Watering rarely - 1 time in 2 weeks, and he grew well. All summer, thanks to the "hoppy" veil on the balcony, I was cool and clean.

    Hops for pain in joints

My grandmother in the village grows a lot of different plants. One of them is hops. This plant is not only the decoration of the garden, it is actively used and for medicinal purposes.
For example, my grandmother often brews a soothing tea. Take on 1 art. spoon cones of hops and grass motherwort, add an 1 ch. spoon of crushed mint leaves or lemon balm. Pour the collection of 1 l of boiling water and let it brew for 2 hours. Take 1 / 2 glasses before meals 3 times a day.
And the grandmother fills the pillow with various medicinal herbs, which collect cones of hop. Such a pillows well calms the nervous system and helps with insomnia.

A good remedy for pain in the joints, rheumatism, bruises - ointment from hop cones. Grind 1 st. spoon cones to the state of powder and mix 1: 3 with vegetable oil. It is necessary that the mixture is thick as sour cream.
