The best varieties of pepper and three secretions of their cultivation
What is what
To support vitality, the vegetable garden helps us, in particular the cultivation of a variety of pepper varieties. When you get pleasure from work, it becomes easy and joyful on the soul. And if the invested forces and labor pays off an excellent harvest of delicious fruits, you understand that such an occupation brings not only moral satisfaction, but also material assistance. Of course, achieving high results is not easy, but, armed with the necessary knowledge, you can overcome any difficulties.
Мы we grow pepper, as a rule, in seedling way. Soil mixture and boxes for seedlings we buy only in specialized garden and vegetable shops.
But we have been preparing turf land since the fall in the forest planting - in order to reduce financial costs.
Sweep the broom dry leaves, remove the top layer of the soil (10-15 cm) and pour it into bags. At home, we sift the ground through a large sieve, and then through a small sieve to get rid of the root residues. The sifted soil is filled with bags on 2 / 3 and we tie them in the very top. Then we distribute the soil in a bag like this. so that it becomes flat. In this position, we leave bags for freezing under a canopy or in a cold place, protecting from wetting by atmospheric precipitation. This method allows you to get rid of worms living in the soil, small insects and their larvae.
Preparation of seeds for sowing begins in 30-45 days. To do this, warm them up under the battery in a paper bag (the temperature should be within 22-25 ° C). For 5-6 days before sowing, we prepare a substrate: two buckets of turf ground and humus (not less than two years ago) and one bucket of sand. For each bucket of finished soil mixture add on a liter can of wood ash.
For seeding pepper seeds without further picking We use boxes with a depth of at least 15 cm, having previously installed plastic partitions in them so that cells 6 × 6 cm in size are obtained. 3/4 fill the boxes with disinfected boiling water soil mixture and leave them in the room where the seeds will germinate.
Focusing on the lunar calendar, the crop of hot pepper is planned for two weeks before the sweet, but not later than 1-2 March. By the time of landing, the young plants should be at the age of 60-65 days, by this time they have already formed 6-8 leaves.
After heating the seeds, disinfect 1% solution of potassium permanganate at room temperature for 20-25 min, then rinse them with running water and for 10 h soak in the stimulator
growth Emistim S, Epin-Extra or aloe juice (10 ml per 100 g of water). Swollen but not yet sprouted seeds are germinated and simultaneously tempered (in the daytime we leave in a room at an air temperature of 22-25 ° C., and put it in the refrigerator at night, where the temperature is maintained at 2-5 ° C). Seeds are wrapped in a damp cloth and placed in a plastic bag so that they are constantly in a moist environment. In the morning and in the evening, the tissue bags are briefly unfolded. to ventilate the seeds.

Through 4-5 days, as soon as most of the seeds are poured, let's start sowing. Carefully spread them with tweezers in cells or peat tablets, deepening on 10-12 mm, pour the substrate (the layer is maximum 5 mm), compact and water with a spray gun. After that, we cover the boxes with transparent polyethylene film and leave it in a room with an air temperature of 25-27 ° C. If the box is installed near the battery, we change its position daily relative to heat, so that the seeds sprout evenly (otherwise the plants will be higher on the warmed side of the box).
After 7-8 days, when the first shoots appear, you need to move the box to a cooler room, with an air temperature of 5-6 ° C lower than the previous one. A new house for plants should be well lit. When 50-60% shoots appear, we remove from the boxes polyethylene film and put under them a thick towel. This will provide the root system with additional heat and will allow it to fully develop. If you miss this moment, the plants will stretch, they will be very thin, with weak roots, they will not be able to stay and "lie down" at the first watering. Do not be too lazy to sow the seeds in rows with small rows, and not scatter. Then, in case of lodging, the seedlings will be more conveniently poured with earth.
Since the pepper is very painful to endure the pick, we once and for all abandoned this procedure. We replace it with another method: in the aisle we pour the soil and water it, due to this the root system is formed more efficiently.
Watering in the morning (before 9: 00) with warm rain or thawed snow water at room temperature (if not, then the usual tap, kept for a day). We feed seedlings through 10-12 days on the leaf with complex fertilizer Sudarushka
(according to the instructions) or under the root infusion of chicken manure (1 kg per 20 L of water) or mullein (1 kg per 10 L of water), combining with watering. The first 20 days of watering we try not to abuse.
For 10 days before disembarkation, the seedlings are hardened. The first 2-3 days after lunch we take the plants out to fresh air. We start with 20 min, gradually increasing the time. Last 3-4 days before by planting, leave the seedlings to sleep on the street. We plant plants in the open ground in the afternoon. closer to evening, but before that, in the morning we water them abundantly so that they can easily be taken out of the box with a lump of earth. Planting scheme 45-50 × 35-40 cm. For varieties with compact bushes - 30-35 × 20-25 cm.
When planting seedlings, in no case do we add fresh manure or bird droppings to the holes, since this adversely affects the pepper. To keep the moisture in the soil and protect the root system from overheating in the heat, we interlace the aisles - close to the bushes we cover them with straw, hay (layer up to 10 cm) or black film. Among other things, this technique facilitates the fight against weeds. We water the plants 2-3 times a week.
On the perimeter of the bed with pepper we always plant green wings - early sugar corn. A wall of powerful plants protects peppers from cold winds and creates a greenhouse effect in hot weather.
RџSЂRё care for peppers repeatedly perform "dusting" of plants with wood ash by dew or early in the morning after spraying. We water the plants, too, since the morning with warm water. Every two weeks, feed them with infusion of chicken manure (1 kg per 20 L of water) or mullein (1 kg per 10 L of water), combining fertilizing with watering on mulch. We do this after each harvest.

The secret to successfully growing a good pepper crop
Our secret of successfully growing a good crop of pepper is simple. It consists in observing the three most important conditions.
- Firstly, drip irrigation should be installed on the beds of pepper. This greatly facilitates the work when watering and fertilizing plants with mineral fertilizers. You can combine drip irrigation with mulching, one does not harm one another.
- Secondly, when loosening the soil and weeding the weeds, it is very important not to injure the roots of the plants, since they are in the surface layer of the earth. Pepper is suffering such mechanical injuries.
- Third, we must always remove the "royal" flower. Some gardeners are very happy about the appearance of the first flower on plants, because, in their opinion, it signals the successful development of pepper and gives the biggest fruit on the bush.
However, experienced perpeters know that if this flower is not removed, the rest of the fruits will grow small, as the plant will direct all its energy to the formation of the first fruit.
That is why on all plants pepper we remove the "insidious first-born." It is located at the base of the first fork of the bush. The rest of the fruits will be tied up a bit later, but you should not worry about it, because they will be strong, healthy, uniform in shape and size.
