If the top has broken off in pepper, it can be rooted with the help of a root stimulant. My pepper is most easily rooted if it is held in a solution of indolyl-3-butyric acid. It is insoluble in water, but it is highly soluble in alcohol or vodka. Dosage of 1 g of acid per 15 ml of alcohol. Then you need to add water there (up to 1 liter). You need to take more vodka than alcohol, about 30-40 ml, and mix the solution until the crystals disperse. In pepper, shorten the leaves by 1/2 and soak in the solution for 6 hours.

I make the soil loose and breathable, using a mixture of coconut (fine fraction) with coarse river sand or agroperlite in a ratio of 8: 2. Since there are no nutrients in such a substrate, I abundantly soak it with a water-soluble complex fertilizer.
Each shank-1 requires a capacity of about 500 ml. Roots pepper at a temperature of 20-22 ° in ambient light. In the first 3-4 days, I cover the stalk with a transparent glass, creating greenhouse conditions. With drooping leaves, he looks dying. After a couple of weeks, roots appear, and shoots awaken from the sleeping buds. But such pepper will bear fruit later than the uninjured relatives.

Seedlings perfectly understands sign language. Studies have shown that if young plants every day for 1-2 minutes to stroke the tops, they will not stretch.

This process is restrained by the fact that when touched, ethylene gas regulating it is released.

    Sowing pepper in seedlings

The optimal time for sowing peppers is the second or third decade of February.

For sowing select the largest and most full-fledged seeds. They are disinfected in a strong solution of potassium permanganate for 20-30 minutes, then washed in running cold water and soaked in a nutrient solution: in 1 l water is diluted with 1 tsp. wood ash or any complex fertilizer. In this solution with a temperature of 25-28 degrees, seeds are dipped in tissue bags for a day. Before sowing, seeds are germinated in a damp cloth on a saucer at a temperature of 25 degrees. Sowing with such seeds sprouts already on the 5-6 day.
Pepper does not tolerate picking. If possible, seeds - 2-3 pcs. - Better to sow immediately in pots with a diameter of 9-10 cm. In the future, a weaker plant is removed. The box with sown seeds is covered with plastic wrap and removed when the first shoots appear.

Peppers are planted in open ground when the threat of frost has passed and the average daily temperature of 15-17 ° is established (end of May - June). Choose sunny, sheltered from the wind (it is very good if legumes, carrots, cucumbers, pumpkins grew on this place, but you should not plant pepper after potatoes, tomatoes and eggplants). It is advisable to add a bucket of rotted manure, peat and half a bucket of sawdust per 1 sq. M to the loamy soil. m; 1 clay bucket of coarse-grained sand and humus are additionally added to clay soil; in the sandy - 2 buckets of peat and humus and a bucket of sawdust. The earth is dug up to the depth of the bayonet of a shovel and leveled.

Disembarkation is carried out in the evening, when there is no scorching sun. Prepared wells are watered with a weak solution of potassium permanganate, added by a handful of humus and ash, 1 / 2 tsp. superphosphate and fill the holes with warm water to the brim. When the water is absorbed, the seedlings are removed from the containers and placed in the wells. Hold the bush with your hand, watered again, so that the ground is snug against the roots. Above mulched with peat.
The first superfosphate dressing is carried out through 14-15 days, then it is necessary to start the formation of bushes, removing the tops, all side shoots to the first fork and the lowest flower. Cleanse stepsons.
As soon as the fruit ripens, they are removed, so as not to delay the formation of new peppers.

I can not complain about the harvest of sweet pepper - a lot of fruits have grown. But what is surprising is that in some of them the seed chamber was not formed.

Why this can be? Sow several varieties, names, to be honest, I do not remember.

Pepper flowers have both stamens (male organs) and pestle (female organ), so self-pollination most often occurs, the fruit is formed - a 2-3-nested berry. However, pollen pollination of other varieties of peppers is also possible. Most often this happens with close plantings of peppers of different varieties. When foreign pollen gets in, a typical fruit is formed that does not have a change in taste, but without seeds or with an internal growth.

The second version is a metabolic disorder of the plant due to insufficient lighting, damage by viruses, temperature changes. The absence of seeds may result from prolonged flowering at low temperatures. Finally, there are seedless varieties of peppers. Maybe you raised them?
