Plants with pink flowers - photo, name and description
How to create a flower bed in pink colors, photo
First you need to explain why it's pink. It was a gust of the minute, but in this naively-girlish color, a lot of worthy plants were discovered that open and continue the spring.
Tiny Flowers Cyclamen coumis literally thaw out of the settled, dirty already not even the snow, but the ice groats. Since the usual hybrid cyclamen were eaten and long will still be a common indoor plant, the idea of growing cyclamen in the garden seems absurd to us. Although planting material in tubers is even in supermarkets, not to mention online stores. True, these imported tubers produce rather not pink, but cyclamen flowers. But we have the Northern Caucasus, where this cyclamen grows in abundance, forming under the canopy of mountain forests a diverse and cheerful carpet. And where it is full of light and dark pink specimens.
Why are we in no hurry to introduce it to culture? Because there he is abundant, like a weed. But here they do not believe in him. Although it adapts well in the middle lane and even manages to reproduce by self-seeding. Its weak place is long dry frosts, but in them much of what is usual for us suffers and dies. Such a technique as mulching (well foliage that mimics natural forest litter), helps to endure difficult winters. Fans of licking their flower beds in autumn instead of mulch can use non-woven fabric. An additional bonus to flowering is painted brocade leaves, which die by the beginning of summer, but grow back in the fall.
Daphne Mereereum notifies of its appearance (okay, let it blossom) from afar. The aroma is one of the strongest in the garden and can be felt for 20 meters, or even more. It recalls, not the notorious French perfumes, but the elite French soap of the most expensive. Return frosts and even snow do not care for these delicate flowers. Daphne loves pruning after flowering, even strong, only becomes more compact and thick. And he doesn’t like it when they cut her roots. She has only 3-4 of them - long, almost unbranched cord located almost horizontally close to the surface. Therefore, try to put her immediately in a permanent place. If there are small children in the garden, berries better off - they poisonous, which warns the Russian name of the plant -wolf-killer death. I did not eat berries, but planted, transplanted and cut daphne without gloves many times and even never sneezed. Daphne multiplies perfectly with seeds, and seeds can be found in the neighboring forest, as it "wildly grows in forest areas of the northern and middle parts of European Russia, in Western Siberia, the Caucasus and Western Europe."
And again the plant of our forests - liverwort noble. However, in gardens it is by no means a beginner, most color and terry forms described more than 100 years ago are no longer in botanical literature, but in magazines for gardeners. So, the dark pink Foam Ribbon met in the gardens not one beginning of the century, and since the double forms propagate only vegetatively and they are all just parts of one source organism, count how old the old woman is. But she is still vigorous, as in the first years of her life.
LiverbirdsHowever, they have some preferences. They do not like biting and prefer loose, humus-rich soils. Seeds are very short-lived, with dry storage, germination is rapidly lost, but their problem is to collect - they crumble altogether in an instant. But the liverworts can be divided almost the entire season, even in bloom, with the exception of a short period when the foliage grows and while it is soft and tender. They transplant well.
If you have liverworts in the vicinity, wander in the spring through the forest. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to find your pink liverwort.
Modern hybrid helleborus xorientalis) can be bought at the end of winter - the beginning of spring in bare roots. Before planting, they must be stored in the zero chamber of the refrigerator. For reliability, it can be dusted with ground cinnamon or crushed charcoal to protect against rot. Chemical fungicides, of course, are more effective, but they are hardly appropriate in food. Frostweeds can not stand zamokaniya, even in spring, melt water. In the garden, it is more reliable to plant them on medium heavy cultivated loams with a sufficient humus content, on sandy ones they need additional watering and top dressing. It is better not to cut the foliage for the winter (and hellebores are winter-green plants), it will provide the plant with additional protection, it should be cut early in the spring, when it is already spoiled by frost, purely for aesthetic reasons. I do not do this every year. They bloom a little later, at the end of April, but they can squeeze out individual flowers at the end of a long autumn. It's funny that these flowers can even overwinter under favorable conditions.

О hyacinths I’ll say just two words, I highly recommend planting them with roses, so that they fall under winter shelter. In a harsh year, this will help them a lot. Yes, and in the spring the rose garden will look much more attractive. And yet, the bulbs of hyacinths after distillation can be planted immediately in the spring, a prerequisite is a preplant seedling in a fungicide, and let it be something more serious than potassium permanganate. Depth of landing is 20-25 centimeters.
Rhododendrons Ledebur, Daursky Ishychotinsky, completely indistinguishable species for non-worker are those “rosemary” whose branches we put for distillation, they have been sold since mid-winter, our Siberia and the Far East. It is frost-resistant, but flower buds in rare winters suffer - no, not from frosts, but from the alternation of frosts and thaws, because they easily get out of a state of rest. West European terry varieties of Ledebur rhododendron are devoid of this drawback. On labels and catalogs they are given a height of up to 1,5 m. In fact, they grow much taller - expect a total height of about 2 m. A pleasant surprise is that rhododendrons easily tolerate transplantation at any age and size.
Terry almonds, aka Trilob Proximity Multiplex, aka louiseanie three-lobe (Louiseania triloba), blossoms already in May, before the blossoming of foliage. And this is one of the most beautiful May spectacles. In my old childhood we had two magnificent bushes, each spring covered with pink foam. And they were not afraid of any frost. And then came the era of felt cherry, which brought with it moniliasis. And now almost no one planted felt cherry, since it dies quickly enough from this disease, and its fruits turned out to be so-so. But because of moniliosis and louiseania, it moved into the category of short-lived cultures. Her life can be prolonged by annual repeated treatments, preferably systemic fungicides, the first time still at the stage of bud extension, the second time after flowering and the third after a couple of weeks. Strongly shortening the shoots serves two purposes - increasing the density of the bush and enhancing future flowering, since flower buds prefer to be laid on annual growths.

Cherry Nippon Rouge (Prunus nipponica Rubra) can sometimes be found on sale. It’s a pity that sometimes, it is not mowed down by moniliosis and it freezes only in rare years, when the temperature approaches minus 40 °, but quickly recovers. This is a small tree with a narrow crown, its fruits are black, the size of a bird cherry, and they can be neglected. But spring flowering is absolutely fabulous. Bonus - bright autumn coloring of foliage. A gift plant, you can do nothing at all with it, just admire it.
The successful collective experience of growing magnolias in the middle lane is already there, and they live with us, even if not all of the numerous varieties magnolia Sulange were not for us, after all. But in the protected conditions are reliable magnolia star, Brooklyn hybrids and Lebner hybrids. Magnolia x loebneri 'Leonard Messel refers to the latter. Prefers light, sheltered from the wind places. It tolerates partial shade, but there it forms a looser crown and blooms a little less profusely. Imported seedlings can freeze in the first years. Do not worry about such trifles - cut off the frozen ends of the shoots, and everything will be in order. The magnolia root system is superficial and suffers from drought, so it’s very useful to mulch the trunk circle. Mulch will protect in winter, already from little snow frosts.
Apple tree as a decorative culture we have so far underestimated, but I feel in my gut that the situation will change in the coming years. Professionals seriously took up the promotion of this culture; domestic nurseries began to grow it and use it in landscaping. While the assortment is being developed for our climate, and the material for work is extensive. There is also a selection of its own - these are decorative varieties of V. Kotov (there are also weeping ones) and columnar pink-flowering varieties of M. Kachalkin.
Tulips. They are many and everyone knows about them, I just wanted to remember the old simple apricot-pink grade Epicot Beauty. He is unclearly charming and will enchant anyone.

good old badan. The old one is old, but almost every year there is some new variety, recently breeders have begun to diligently produce variegated.
Primrose. Modern stunning hybrids in the garden may not be too durable. But they are so easy to replace even more stunning novelties. Especially the prices for flowering already plants in pots are very budgetary.
Daffodils with a pink crown. They speak for themselves. Tone from apricot-pink to shade of pulp of ripe grapefruit.

I love bright colors and took into account my preferences when laying my garden, picking up the appropriate varieties. It turned out so well!
In the spring, apple trees 'Royalty', 'Makamik' and my favorite 'Carmen' delight with red flowers. I also have 'Red Obelisk' and 'Ola', they bloom pink - but still the color is more intense than that of ordinary fruit trees. If these varieties are not available, there are others, both red-blooming and with bright pink flowers. In any case, ornamental apple trees have edible fruits!
