Cutting Roses - 10 Highlights
RED SEQUENCING - 10 RULES AND COUNCILS
Many people dream of replicating a rose bush. Now is the right time to do this easily and simply - cuttings. We will tell you a step-by-step order of work.

For greenhouse roses from a bouquet - March-April
For roses of open ground - from the second half of June to the end of July
OPTIMAL TEMPERATURE TEMPERATURE
+ 22 ... + 25 degrees. (sharp temperature fluctuations must not be allowed)
HUMIDITY
90-100%
LIGHTING

Choose a healthy bush, without signs of damage to pests and disease. For cuttings need shoots in the budding phase (with colored buds).
Cuttings length 5-8 cm cut with a sharp disinfected knife from the middle part of half-aged shoots of 0,5-0,7 thickness. See the lower cut at an angle of 45 hail, under the kidney itself, and the top cut straight at 0,5 cm above the kidney.
To reduce the evaporation of moisture remove the bottom sheet and cut the upper half.
Before landing Cuttings cut into water or wrapped in a damp newspaper. As a stimulant for rooting, you can use a solution of honey (1 tsp at 1 water) or Kornevin (according to the instructions). Lower the bottom of the cuttings into the structure to a depth of 2-3 cm for 12-15 hours. Try not to wet the leaves.
Then each shank plant in a plastic pot with a substrate of a mixture of sod, leaf and sand (2: 1: 2), which is poured onto the bottom with a layer of 5-8 cm, and on top, add coarse-grained sand in a layer of 3-4 cm or a mixture of vermiculite with sand (1: 1), you can use a mixture of sand with peat (1: 1) or perlite. Before planting the substrate, disinfect with a pink solution of potassium permanganate. Cuttings should be inclined obliquely. The depth of planting should not exceed 2 cm.
Cuttings after planting pour and shade. To create greenhouse conditions, you can cover them with a cropped plastic bottle, a glass jar or a white opaque package. Such miniteplichki put in the garden under the bushes.
Every day or every other day, water the soil in a pot around the bottle (do not allow the substrate to dry out). Then remove the bottle, spray the stem from the spray gun and cover again. Do not allow the sun to fall on the plant.
About a month later, cuttings roots are formed, the first leaf appears. Now the bottle can be removed.
For the winter, move the pots and cuttings to the basement, occasionally watering, avoiding the drying of the soil.
In the open ground overwintered rooted cuttings are best planted from the second half of May, when the threat of recurrent frosts passes.
OUR REFERENCE
Not all varieties of garden roses are well cuttings. Climbing, miniature, ground cover and many varieties of polyanthus roses and floribunda take root almost always. Tea-hybrid - worse, especially varieties of dark red and yellow color, and develop less than grafted.
FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
In the greenhouse for roses I arrange a swamp
From the rails 5 × 5 cm 2–2,5 m long, I made a flat frame 45 cm wide. At the ends and along both rails of the frame, I drilled holes with a diameter of 60–70 mm every 4–4,5 cm. From steel wire of the same diameter, bent arcs 50 cm high and inserted them tightly into the holes made. The structure is covered with a plastic film, which is fastened with thin (1 cm thick) wide slats outside the frame. It turned out a mini-greenhouse that is easy to carry.
Behind the garage, where the penumbra, dug up and leveled the ground. On the perimeter of the par-nicks from the inside on 1-2 cm deepened the soil, and from the outside made a low roller. Place is ready.
I cut off the top of 1,5-liter PET bottles and drilled holes in the bottom of about 1 × 1 cm to drain excess water. He filled the bottles with soil mixed with sand and poured the soil with water. He carefully planted the prepared cuttings of roses in bottles (he wrote the name of the variety on the wall with a marker), which he placed on the prepared area, sprayed leaves with water and covered with a greenhouse.
And then - the most interesting: under the guy from the hose I let the water in until it stops absorbing. You can say, inside the structure I make a swamp (air humidity there 100%). In the first week I pour water every 4-5 hours, spray the leaves. After a week I give water only in the morning. Less often and I spray. And after 15-16 days, I spray the leaves just 1 once a day. If necessary, I pour the soil in bottles. So I do without the fogging device. Rooted 90-95% of cuttings. Hibernate roses in bottles in the basement, and planted in the soil in May next year.
In the same way cuttings of grapes, cherries, chubushnik - and all is successful!

Roses: 7 Cherenkov rules
You can quickly propagate a rose of your kind from a cuttings. And it’s better to do this from mid-June to mid-July.
Following our advice, you can easily propagate hybrid tea, ground cover, climbing roses, scrubs.
Do not cut long cuttings. Each should be no more than 12 cm with 2-3 kidneys (one lower kidney will later be in the ground). Cuttings from the middle part of the stem are rooted best.
Correctly cut. Make the upper one even above the kidney, departing from it 0,5-1 cm. The lower section is oblique under the lower kidney at a distance of 1 -1,5 cm from it. Work with a sharp knife so that there are no torn edges, otherwise the stalk will die. Remove the lower leaves, and shorten the upper two leaves by a third.
For better rooting, use root formation stimulants - before planting, lower the ends of the cuttings into a solution of Hetero-auxin or Kornevin for 12-24 hours.
Plant cuttings immediately in the garden on a prepared place or in a container dug in the garden. Choose the right site where in the morning the sun will be until noon, and in the evening after 17 hours. Prepare the bed in advance from a mixture of purchased universal soil, garden soil and sand (2: 1: 1).
Spill a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Plant cuttings at an angle of 45 degrees., Deepening the lower kidney. After planting, carefully compact and water the soil around the cuttings. Create an optimal microclimate. Cover each stalk with a half-cut 2-5-liter PET bottle (neck up, without a lid for ventilation) or a glass jar.
When young leaflets appear in the axils of the leaves left (after about 2-3 weeks), the bottles can be removed to ventilate and harden the plants (but it is advisable to keep them under the “cap” until next summer, when the time comes to change young roses to a permanent place). If the stalk is blackened - throw it away.
Before the cold, cut off all the leaves on the cuttings, then each spud and cover with an inverted pot or the same half of the bottle (or use any covering material).

WE INCORPORATE ROSES BY CUTOGRAPHY
In the first half of May, roses can still be cut. Especially well rooted shoots of varietal plants from the polyanthus, floribunda, climbing and tea-hybrid groups.
I begin to cut it as soon as the young shoots grow to 7-10 cm. I cut them at the very base, remove the lower leaves and dust the surface of the cut with coal dust mixed with Heteroauxin powder (50 g + 2 tablets).
I prepare the planting bed in advance. I dig the earth, removing all the weeds, season with the ripened humus, level it and pour the washed river sand with a layer of 2 cm on top. I make a roller at the edges of the bed so that the water does not drain during irrigation.
Planting cuttings "nests" - 3-4 pcs. at a distance of 3 cm from each other. I dig in 1,5-2 cm and cover each “nest” with a glass half-liter jar. I don’t take them off until the roots form (usually it takes 25-30 days). "Saplings" shade from the sun. I moisten the sand around the cans as they dry.
With the appearance of shoots from the axillary buds, I cut the cuttings (30 × 30 cm). At this time, their roots are already 4-5 cm long.
With good care, roses develop quickly and even bloom. To get strong seedlings, I remove all the buds, pinch the shoots.

Is it true that aloe sap helps cuttings of roses settle down better?
#
- Aloe sap divorced in water (1: 10) is really used in cuttings of roses, dahlias, and Saintpaulias. Cuttings on the 4-5 hours are lowered (half the length) into the solution and then planted in the ground. Plants do not rot and take root well. It is also useful to spray the solution of aloe juice shoots asters, levkoev.
