Can wild walnuts be used for pollination of varietal walnuts? Will this have a negative effect on the yield of the cultivated plant?

      - Walnut is a wind-pollinated plant in which female and male flowers are on the same tree (however, on plants of some varieties, there is a difference in the time of blooming of male and female flowers).
At the same time, wild walnuts can be used for pollination of varietal walnuts, the main thing is that the flowering dates coincide. At the same time, the yield of varietal walnut will not be affected. Seedlings grown from walnut kernels can change their economic and biological properties. Usually, breeders use these features when developing new varieties.
