This summer I will have an involuntary experiment with cabbage. Usually I sow it for seedlings in a greenhouse at the end of April, but last year I left the seeds at home, and when I went to the city, I forgot to bring them. It was already early May, and I thought that I would buy seedlings at the market when I went to town again. But, unfortunately, I did not find the seedlings, and it was time to return to the garden. In general, I took the cabbage seeds and decided to sow them directly into the open ground.
I made two beds: on one I sowed white cabbage with several seeds in a "nest", and on the other colored one and broccoli. By mid-May, the white-headed one began to sprout, and the rest only hatched here and there.
And then my neighbor Tanya offered me the seedlings left after planting. I, of course, took and planted it on a bare bed (where there were colored and broccoli), and planted my white one in another bed.
The cabbage (both mine and the neighbor's) started to grow well. I, of course, fed, podokuchi-la, and this is what happened: in photo 1 cabbage, planted with seeds in early May, in photo 2 - planted in mid-May with seedlings. When harvesting in early October, I did not notice any difference.
Conclusion: if something happens, do not despair, but experiment!
