Strawberry Heavenly Berry - expert reviews

“SKY STRAWBERRY BUTTERFLY” OR A NEW “DIVORCE”?
Already several amateur gardeners have turned to me for advice: is it worth buying actively advertised on the Internet "heavenly berry"? My answer is clear: NO!
On one-day websites for quite upbeat money, they offer another “miracle buttock” - strawberries of a new unique rare variety Heavenly Berry, which, according to some sources, was bred by the Japanese, and according to others, scientists led by academician A.S. Astafieva. The scheme is still the same: order the necessary kit for growing this strawberry - and a month after sowing the seeds in the soil, you will receive giant berries on your windowsill (up to 3 kg from a bush). And at the same time, sellers guarantee high yields per plant up to 10 (!) Once a year. Very tempting offer, isn't it? And beginner gardeners are being led on it first of all.
REVEALING AND USEFUL
Before you buy anything on the Internet, at least try to verify the accuracy of the information. The first thing you should be alerted to is the lack of feedback on these sites, contact numbers for contacting sellers.
I went to the official website of the RAS and got acquainted with the list of scientists. Alas, neither among the academicians, nor among the corresponding members of the scientist with the surname Astafiev. In addition, there is no Latin name for the new miracle variety in the State Register of selection achievements allowed for use.
The list of disclosures can continue. But let's move on to the main point: even if you plant a ready-made strawberry bush, it will take 1,5-2 months to root it. And strawberries from seeds begin to bear fruit no earlier than six months later. The maximum yield will give only the 2-3rd year. With good care, strawberries of the best large-fruited varieties can produce up to 1,8 kg per bush per season. That is, 3 kg per month is an outright lie. My advice: do not believe in fairy tales!
