Tell me how to propagate blooming gatsaniya by cuttings? Will it be possible to preserve rooted plants in winter? How to protect an African woman from disease?
- I periodically (once every two to three years) propagate gating by cuttings. To do this, in mid-late summer, I choose the most lush bushes obtained from seeds sown for seedlings in February. With a sharp knife I cut off the lateral shoots at the base with a "heel" without forming buds. I plant it, having previously processed the lower part in "Kornevin" (according to the instructions), in a deep container with drainage and light fertile soil. I cover it with a large transparent bottle. I regularly ventilate and water.
Usually after 1, 5-2 months, the cuttings develop roots
For the winter, I bring a container with young plants inside the house (it is possible to enter a glazed loggia with a temperature of up to +10 degrees). I take care of the rest of the pets. It is important to make sure that they stand free, the room itself was not very damp and the air was regularly ventilated, otherwise the African chamomile can get sick with gray rot. When the first signs of the disease are detected, the affected bush and soil must be treated with "Fitosporin" (according to the instructions). I did not observe pests on it.
In the spring, with the establishment of heat, I transplant the gatsania on a flower bed, at a distance of 30-40 cm from each other (it is important not to thicken). I water it as needed. Two weeks later, once every 20 days, I feed it with a complex fertilizer for flowering (according to the instructions).
