Ranunculus does not bloom for two years. Before planting, I soak the nodules for a couple of hours in water with a few drops of Epin.

I plant it in an open, sunny place in light loam. After two weeks, seedlings appear, which turn into pretty green bushes. I feed it once a week with liquid fertilizer for open field flowers. But in mid-July, the foliage begins to turn yellow and by the beginning of August it dies off. At the end of the month, I dig out the nodules, dry them and store them in dry sand in the refrigerator in the vegetable compartment. What am I doing wrong?

      - You are probably growing Asiatic ranunculus or one of the hybrids of this plant. Try planting its rhizomes in a container in late March or early April and put it in a sunny place. By May, when the threat of frost has passed, transplant to open ground. If the soil is loamy, first add organic matter in a mixture with sand 3: 1 (no more than 1/5 of the soil volume) and dig it to a depth of 0,5 m.It is better to water in the evening and abundantly, and then again - after a day when the soil dries. Watering in the sun and heat (morning and afternoon) on leaves, especially young ones, is contraindicated - this will provoke sunburn.

I advise you not to overfeed. It is better for a plant when nutrients are supplied in moderation, then it stores them in the rhizome and blooms to give offspring. It is enough to add a solution of complex fertilizer for flowering crops once under the ranunculus when buds appear (according to the instructions). This will prolong flowering without accelerating the yellowing of the foliage, and the dormant period will come later.
