GROWING ANTHEMIS
The flowers of antemis, or dyeing pupavka, from late June to autumn create a festive mood in my garden. And I also like to cut them for bouquets.
Usually the plant is grown in group and mixed plantings on lawns and in mixborders - in the middle or in the background, since the height of the bushes is 70-100 cm.
GARDEN CONDITIONS AND ANTHEMIS CARE
Anthemis prefers open sunny places, unpretentious to the soil.
When the plant has finished flowering, the stems can be cut to a height of about 10 cm to stimulate the growth of side shoots. The result is beautiful lush "balls" that, with good care, bloom again in the fall.
It happens that the bushes lie down, so it is advisable to install a support already in June.
Anthemis does not need shelter for the winter, it tolerates drought well, although decorativeness is somewhat reduced.
Seeds can be sown before winter or spring, as well as early summer.
It is easy to propagate the plant by dividing the bush.

Experts comments
The plant is really unpretentious, but it grows best in well-drained light sandy or rocky soil. It responds well to a one-time feeding in early spring with complex mineral fertilizer (according to instructions).
In old bushes 4-5 years old, inflorescences become smaller. Divide them in April-May or late August-early September.
It is enough to let Pupavka into the garden once, and you will not lose it, since it is well renewed by self-seeding.
In home treatment, the plant can be used for colds, uterine bleeding (in combination, on the advice of a doctor), diathesis. Prepare the broth: 2 tsp. dry herb pour 1 tbsp. boiling water, leave for 4 hours and drain. Drink 1 tbsp. l. 3-4 times a day.
ANTEMIS - GROWING AND CARE, ADVICE AND FEEDBACK
SUNNY FLOWER - ANTEMIS
In any weather, my yard is “illuminated” by bright yellow “chamomiles” of dye anthemis, or navels. Even in bad weather, they give me a joyful mood. Flowers cut into a bouquet stand in a vase for a long time, decorating the interior of the house.
She grew anthemis from seeds that she sowed in April immediately in open ground in a sunny place. The seeds were spread out at a distance of 10 cm, although, as it turned out later, it was worth leaving more space between the specimens - about 30-35 cm. After germination and during the season, I monitored the soil moisture.
SURPRISED
In the first year, the umbilical cord did not bloom. In the next season, stems with linearly dissected leaves began to grow actively in spring. By the beginning of summer, lush tall bushes with many buds have formed. In June, yellow flowers began to open, similar to daisies.
In the end, I got huge curtains up to 70 cm high, completely covered with yellow flowers that are not afraid of wind, rain or sun.
NOTICED
- The plant is not demanding on the composition of the soil.
- Drought-resistant. I water it very rarely.
