Multi-dose flower seeds: reviews of florists
MULTIDRAZE COLORS: DIFFERENT OPINIONS AND APPROACH
As in all industries, technology in floriculture does not stand still. Many have long been accustomed to dragee seeds. And what have you heard about multi-drag in a plastic cover?
This is what Elena BOLBAS is talking about in one of the flower groups on social networks:
- When ordering seeds of calibrachoa in the online store, I was not embarrassed that they would be granular. But in the package I was in for a surprise - an unfamiliar-looking dragee. Before sowing, I sent it to the refrigerator (according to the manufacturer's recommendation). And I decided to figure out how to sow then.
The fact is that pelleting has its pros and cons. On the one hand, the enveloping shell facilitates sowing small seeds and contains nutrients for a successful start of seedling growth, on the other hand, not every one is quickly destroyed, which has a bad effect on germination. And even a delicate sprout may be covered "headlong" with the remnants of the granule, which also complicates its development.
And here there are several seeds in one shell. But not to grow a bunch of seedlings before diving?
Having moistened a cotton pad with warm water (40-45 degrees), wrapped it in a multidrage and put it in a warm place. An hour later, the softened shell was destroyed with a toothpick. True, the soggy disc made it difficult to extract small seeds from its villi.
NOTE: What is multidrage?
Multidrage is a novelty that came to us from the USA. They came up with such a technology to facilitate the selection of compositions: in one granule - a mixture of plant varieties in harmony with each other.
