HOW TO DEAL WITH MILD
Protect your grape harvest from downy mildew.

Mildew is a harmful fungal disease that is widespread in all regions where grapes are grown.
It affects leaves, green shoots, inflorescences and unripe berries. The massive development of the disease is observed in rainy years.
CONDITIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT BY MILDYU
Spores of the causative agent of the disease overwinter on fallen leaves and berries, where they can persist for up to 2 years. The disease begins to manifest itself in late May - early June when the air temperature rises to 11 ° C and high humidity. Active sporulation is noted with abundant precipitation and an air temperature of 22-26 ° C. When the temperature rises to 30 ° C, the development of the disease stops.
IMPORTANT
WITH A SEVERE DAMAGE TO PLANTS, HARVEST LOSS ACHIEVES 50% IN THE CURRENT AND NEXT YEAR.
SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS OF MILKY ON GRAPES
Initially, the disease appears on the upper side of the leaves in the form of pale green tilley yellowish spots. A profuse fluffy white bloom forms on the underside of the leaves in the affected areas. Then the same plaque appears on buds, flowers and berries. After a while, it acquires a brownish-red or dark brownish-blue hue. With a strong development of the disease, the leaves dry out and fall off, which leads to oppression of plants and poor development of the vine.
Susceptible to mildew disease THE FOLLOWING VARIETIES OF GRAPES
Aleshenkin, Amethyst Samarsky, Krasa Severa, Adel, Aisulu, Akmaral, Akhtamar, Sharov's Riddle, Kyzyltan, Lilia, Madeleine Anger-vin, Early Magaracha, Pink beads, Tason, Yangi Er, In memory of Dombkovskaya, Edna.
Relatively resistant to mildew: Agate Donskoy, Amursky 35, Amursky 39, Victoria, Delight, Ideal, White Pearl, Seedless Zosia, Strawberry, Codryanka, Latvian pink, Laura, Michurinsky pink, Muromets, Nizina, Platovsky, Rusbol, Rusven, Russian early , Blue fog, Bullfinch, Super Extra, Tomaysky, Tutankhamun, Khasansky Bousa, Charlie, Blackie, Express, Elf.

MILDEW - COMBAT MEASURES
Prevention is of great importance in the fight against mildew: destruction of plant residues, control of weeds, good illumination and ventilation of the vineyards:
When the first signs of the disease appear, the grapes are thoroughly sprayed with the biological preparation Planriz (40 ml per 10 liters of water). The first treatment, subject to humid and warm weather, is carried out with a shoot length of 25-30 cm, the second - before flowering, the third (if necessary) - after flowering.
In problem years, with a strong degree of leaf damage, 1-2 treatments with chemical preparations Abiga-Peak (40 g per 10 l of water), Kurzat R (30 g per 10 l of water), Profit Gold (4 g per 10 liters of water). The last treatment is carried out 30 days before the start of the harvest.
The ecologically safe preparation Albit (3-4 g per 10 l of water) provides high efficiency against mildew. Against the background of a low and medium degree of development of the disease, the effectiveness of this drug approaches chemical means of protection and is 86-93%, and when it is used in combination with chemical pesticides it reaches 100%. This drug is also effective against another dangerous grape disease - oidium (powdery mildew).
