ZOOBIES IN BAGS - LANDING AND CARE, GROWING
IT IS NECESSARY TO SAVE AREA
The issue of saving useful squares on the site is very acute for me. I have to think over every little thing, I think about the location of the beds and crop rotation every year with a notebook in my hands and a pencil. Although I will not say that my family is especially picky and we need a lot. But all the same, reserves for the winter are not a whim, but tangible budget support.
In addition to cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers, I also grow zucchini. And last year, as a result of an experiment, I found a great way to save space for planting and get a good harvest of zucchini. Maybe some of the readers have already heard about the method of growing in bags, if so, then it would be interesting for me to compare our experience, maybe to find out some interesting details for myself.
PREPARATION OF "GRADOK" -BAGS
I'll tell you how I do it on my site. We need bags of flour, sugar or other bulk products. We also need tops, weeds, cut grass, any organic matter, potato peelings too. We put all this in a bag, filling it by a third. The second layer will be made of sawdust, it is necessary to pour at least 30 cm on top of organic matter. Then we make up a soil mixture of black soil, peat and charcoal.
What is the advantage and cost-effectiveness of this method? The fact that you prepare as much soil mixture as you need. One bag, two, three. Several of them can be placed along the fence, and a full-fledged zucchini bush will grow and bear fruit in each. When the bag is ready, make a hole in the bottom of the bag to remove excess watering water.
PLANTING WERE IN BAGS
We plant seedlings in bags in late May or early June, the main thing is that frosts pass. You can sow seeds right away, but then you need to do this a month earlier and cover the seedlings with plastic bottles. When everything is ready, choose a place for the zucchini. It should be sunny and calm. A very good option is along the fence or against the wall of the house.
Zucchini grows in bags faster than on a regular garden bed, so you will harvest earlier than usual. This is due to the fact that the organic matter in the bag begins to overheat and release heat, and the plants receive all the useful substances.
Note
If suddenly a strong wind, hail or rain starts, then thanks to the mobility, the bag can be transferred to the shelter.
BAG-ZABACHKOVA "SHPARGALKA"
What you need to know when growing zucchini in this way: only 1 bush in one bag. Intensive watering - at least 2 liters of warm water 2 times a week. If it's hot, the dose is increased to 3 liters. Regular loosening and weeding are needed. But you can cover the surface with straw.
Can I use regular plastic trash bags for planting zucchini? You can, but, in my opinion, not worth it. It will be inconvenient for you to move them if necessary, as they tear very easily.
ADVANTAGES OF GROWING WOODS IN BAGS
This method has its advantages. The main thing is that it saves space in the beds.
The second plus is that during the season the waste will be completely reprocessed and the output will be an excellent fertilizer, which can later be used for other garden crops. The overripe mixture can be successfully used up to 7 times as humus for planting tomatoes, cucumbers and other vegetable crops.
The third positive point: zucchini grows at a height and does not shade other crops. Due to the fact that the plants are high from the ground, they are less sick.

Why do zucchini ovaries fall off? Zame - like not just dried, but also rotten ovaries. Other pumpkin seeds do well. There are no spots or other signs of disease on the leaves.

- The reason for this phenomenon may be cold weather. Zucchini belongs to the southern heat-loving crops, therefore it does not tolerate cold snaps, frequent rains, excessive air humidity and lack of sunlight. There are other reasons for zucchini ovary decay.
Perhaps pollination of plants has not yet occurred: for some reason, insects do not have access to flowers.
Or the plantings are thickened and as the bushes develop, the lower leaves begin to turn yellow and die off.
No less a threat is posed by faded buds remaining on the spouts of young zucchini. During periods of rain or during watering, they, like a sponge, absorb moisture, begin to rot and infect the fruits. Therefore, check the bushes regularly and remove such flowers.
One of the most common reasons leading to decay of zucchini ovaries is a lack of trace elements, in particular iodine and boron. Spray plants once a season with solutions of potassium iodide and boric acid (2 g per 10 liters of water). Alternatively, you can use complex fertilizers containing boron.
