I bought several varieties of hydrangea paniculata in pots. Is it possible to plant them now in open ground?

      - If your region is now hot and dry, then the transplantation of any plants, not only hydrangeas, should be postponed until the air temperature drops to at least + 20-25 degrees. In the heat, even the "old-timers" of the garden suffer, let alone the "kids" who must adapt to the microclimate of the site and spend their energy rooting in a new place.
If you live in a private house, then dig in the purchased specimens in the shade along with the containers. So the soil in the pots will dry out less. Be sure to mulch the soil.

If you spend more time in the apartment, do not take hydrangeas to the country. Keep under control at home - on the windowsill, balcony or loggia - in a semi-shady place. Since the root ball, most likely, completely occupies the volume of the pot, the seedlings need to be watered daily.

You can plant plants in open ground in cool cloudy (even rainy) weather, preferably in the evening.

Paniculata hydrangea has been sitting on my garden plot for three years now. But I did not experience the joy of her presence.
The plant is naughty all the time.
I would like to know about the possible problems of these ornamental shrubs.

Hydrangeas can have many problems. And a lot depends not only on the chosen place, but also on care. If, for example, the plant withered, it means that it lacks moisture. Sometimes this happens due to too high air temperature in summer.

Old yellowed leaves will indicate waterlogging of the soil, and young ones will indicate the hardness of the water that the hydrangea was watered with. This plant will gladly feel a surge of strength after moistening with moderately soft water.
If the bush has a different color of inflorescences, most likely, the acidity of the soil has also changed.
Burnt hydrangea inflorescences are a sure sign that the plant can hardly tolerate the abundance of the sun. This means that the bush will have to be shaded, especially on a scorching afternoon.
Does it upset you that hydrangea grows very slowly? Most likely, the wrong place was chosen for it. Perhaps the plant is in the shade all day, so it lacks sunlight.
