I sow the seeds of ornamental cabbage in early April immediately in separate pots (you can sow them in the garden under a film in mid-April). I plant seedlings in open ground in mid-May-early June with a large clod of earth and water abundantly.
I choose a sunny place for ornamental cabbage: in good light, it builds up squat rosettes, and immediately stretches out in shade and partial shade.
TIP: To protect ornamental cabbage from caterpillars, I water the plantings with saline a couple of times over the summer (1 tablespoon of salt per bucket of water).
