Blackberry raspberry (ezhemalina) varieties Luck - reviews of the hostess
EZHEMALINA - VARIETY GOOD LUCK, LANDING AND CARE, MY REVIEWS
At a housewarming party at the dacha of our friends, walking around the site, I became interested in tall bushes on trellises, strewn with berries of a dark cream color, similar to blackberries. The fruits turned out to be sweet with a pleasant sourness and honey flavor.
- This is a black, or blackberry-like raspberry of the Luck variety, - the hostess Vera Sergeevna "introduced" us. - It was bred in Siberia, but in our area it has taken root well. The former owner of the site planted her four years ago.

The doctor recommended that his wife eat these berries regularly to reduce high blood pressure. In the second year, 3,5 kg were harvested from one bush, a year later - 4,5 kg, and in the fourth season - almost 6 kg. By the way, black raspberry increases immunity, removes radionuclides and heavy metals from the body, lowers blood cholesterol levels, and strengthens the walls of blood vessels. Needless to say, after what I heard, I wanted to prescribe Luck in my garden.
LANDING
It is better to plant blackberry-like raspberries in the spring: after the autumn planting, there is a high risk that the plants will not survive the winter cold. But it is better to prepare the place for the berry in October. Considering that black raspberries grow slowly in the shade and bear poor fruit, we chose a well-lit area for it. We planted the plants 2,5 m apart. Their roots go down to a depth of 1,5 m, so the pits were prepared with a width and depth of 0,5 m. They put 7 kg of mature compost and well-rotted manure, 1 liter of wood ash in each.
AGROTECHNICS OF BLACKBERRY RASPBERRY
More than two years have passed. Bushes with berries of the color of the night have grown to almost 2 m, and now they are on trellises. This year they bloomed until the last decade of June. Many fruits were set. In general, black raspberries are responsive to mulching. As an alternative, we covered the ranks with the Pole-nosed Leopard.
We feed 3 times per season: after flowering, during the ripening of the berries and after picking them. The diet is as follows: 0,5 kg of granulated mullein, 50 g of superphosphate, 0,5 liters of wood ash per 10-12 liters of water (we insist for 2-3 hours). We add a bucket of mixture under one bush, then pour it with water.

CUTTING AND WINTERING EZHEMALINA
In the first ten days of July, shoots were cut at a height of 1,7 m from the ground. This procedure promotes intensive development of lateral branches, which increases the yield of the bush.
Now, in October, we will completely remove the two-year-old shoots that have borne fruit, shorten the annual ones, leaving 40-50 cm above the soil. For the winter, the bushes must be bent to the ground, secured with staples and covered with spruce branches.
