Do-it-yourself greenhouse at home on LED strip
GREENHOUSE ON LIGHTS FOR THE WINDOW SILL WITH YOUR HANDS
To please himself and his family with fresh herbs all year round, he made a compact greenhouse, which he installed on the windowsill. You can also grow vegetable seedlings in it.
It took: laminated chipboard 18 mm thick, polyethylene film - 2 × 2 m, shelves with trays for drying dishes 1 pcs., Adjustable heel pad PL5 Mb 6 pcs. furniture confirmations, self-tapping screws 05 × 4 mm, reinforced and simple adhesive tape, electronic thermometer with hygrometer, Velcro fasteners, edge tape, LED strip SOV-lamp (LED on the board).
1. From chipboard I assembled two racks measuring 146 × 28 cm (photo 1). I have a greenhouse measuring 146x80x28 cm (height, width, depth). Dimensions depend on the dimensions of the shelves (80 × 28 cm). I attached the crossbars to the racks with confirmations (photo 2). Before assembling, the edges were pasted over with edging tape.
2. From above and below, I screwed two adjustable thrust bearings into the ends of the racks (photo 3). I pre-drilled the holes and pressed the threaded bushings of the thrust bearings into them. These are the legs and stops, with their help it will be possible to evenly set the greenhouse on the windowsill and firmly fix it in the thrust from above (photo 4)
3. Installed gratings between the racks on the crossbars. For reliability, I fixed them along the edges with self-tapping screws (photo 5, 6). Later, under them, I fixed the pallets also on self-tapping screws.
4. I cut the film to fit the rack and prepared a mount for it. I used Velcro tape as fasteners, cutting them into pieces. I fixed the soft parts on the film as follows - I glued reinforcing tape on the edge and glued Velcro to it with a thermal gun. I fixed the second parts on the frame with a thermal gun and confirmation mats (photo 7). The film will wrap the frame, I fixed its beginning with adhesive tape.
5. As the main light source, I used a violet spectrum COB lamp on the radiator (photo 8). A blue-red LED strip will run throughout the frame.
6. I soldered the tape to the wire, and its other end to the connector. I secured the tape to the frame with tape.
7. I connected a 12 V power supply to the connector, then connected the entire system to an electronic timer. I program them to turn devices on and off for a certain time.
