I don’t cut large potato tubers before planting, I just plant them 4-5 cm deeper than ordinary and small ones.
I leave at least 90 cm between the rows, and I place the potatoes themselves 30 cm apart.
The first time I spud as soon as shoots appear, the second - before budding, the third - if I notice that the bush has fallen apart.
From Colorado beetles, I treat plants with Mospilan (0 g per 5 liters of water per hundred square meters) or Aktara (10 g per 1 liters of water per hundred square meters).

I plant potatoes according to a sign
Grandmother taught that potatoes should be planted as soon as leaves the size of a penny appear on the birch. When planting in the holes, pour a handful of oven ash. Every 9-10 bushes we plant a black bean bush to the potato. And we plant the entire area around the perimeter with beans and dill.
For all the time we spud potatoes 3 times. The tops grow lush, Colorado beetles are an order of magnitude smaller.
As a result, when we start digging the crop, everyone looks at our site with envy. We collect twice as many bags as our neighbors!
