Broccoli, kohlrabi, cauliflower and Chinese cabbage can be grown through seedlings. And you can also directly sow seeds in the garden - it is convenient to do this even at the end of May and beginning of June. Do not be afraid: the plants will have time to grow and give a full harvest. However, there are also features.
Under seedless cabbage, take a bed with fertile and loose soil. If the soil on the site is too dense or not nutritious enough, add humus or compost (a bucket per 1 sq.m), as well as azofoska (60 g per 1 sq.m) for deep digging.
Level the area well with a rake, otherwise the seeds that have fallen under the clods of earth will not sprout.
For a seedless method of growing, choose cabbage seeds of early ripening varieties with a growth period of up to 100 days. For sowing, select only the largest intact seeds. Sow dry, two per hole, 1-2 cm deep, 20-30 cm apart and 40-50 cm between rows.
If both sprout, one of the sprouts can be removed or transplanted. To protect seedlings from the cruciferous flea after sowing the seeds, spray the garden bed diluted according to the instructions with Actara (or other insecticide), cover with a spunbond on small arcs. Remove it when 5-6 true leaves appear on the seedlings - then the cabbage will no longer be afraid of the flea.
Monitor the condition of the soil - the earth should not dry out. Weed out the weeds promptly.

NOTE: Seedlings straight from the garden
I used to buy seedlings of late white cabbage, and last year I grew it myself ... right in the garden.
The seeds were sown in grooves to a depth of 3 cm. As soon as shoots appeared, they were powdered with sifted wood ash to feed and protect against cruciferous fleas. Two weeks after the ash dusting, she fed the plants with a solution of superphosphate and potassium sulfate (30 g and 15 g per 10 liters of water, respectively) at the rate of a bucket per 1 sq.m.
When the seedlings grew up, some of the seedlings were transplanted to a new bed, and some were left in place.
As a result, the cabbage harvest was excellent! This is the only way I will grow it from now on.
