GREENHOUSE FOR CUCUMBERS WITHOUT A GARTER WITH YOUR HANDS - DRAWINGS

Its peculiarity is that as the plants grow, the greenhouse itself grows in it. The refurbishment is carried out in three stages. In its final form, it looks like a small greenhouse.

So, the first stage (Fig. 1). This is a shed ground greenhouse (maybe a pit). The greenhouse box is made of boards 30 mm thick. An internal width of 1200 mm allows access to all plants from the outside from one side or the other.

The northern side of the box is 200 mm higher than the southern one and is connected to it by inclined bars at the ends. Removable inclined bars are installed on the south side in the recess, and on the opposite side - on the support bar.

From displacement downwards and to the sides, the inclined bar is held by stops. If necessary, these crossbars can be easily removed. The film, which covers the greenhouse, leans back from the south side, from the north it is fixed with slats.

Second stage (Fig. 2). When the plants reach the height of the cover, I remove the film and install paired racks 1-1 ′; 2-2'; 3-3'; 4-4′ from a bar 40 × 40 mm. Between them I stretch the wire (5-8). I round off sharp edges in places of contact with the film.

Cucumber lashes rise to inclined removable bars, settle down on them and continue to grow upwards. Having reached the stretched wires, they "signal" that it is time to raise the roof higher.

At the third stage (Fig. 3) I install higher paired racks 9-9 ′; 10-10 ′; 11-11′ and again pull the wire between them (12-14). Plants rise to the lower wires and spread along them.

At this time, I remove yellowed and thickening leaves to improve visibility, ventilation and pollination. I correct the whips that go beyond the greenhouse and pinch the plants in contact with the film. No plant tying is required.

To reduce sagging, I install intermediate racks under the wire. Instead of bars, you can use simpler material.
