When choosing an apple tree for your site, one of the important criteria that you should pay attention to is the winter hardiness of the variety.
Do not confuse with frost resistance! It means the critical temperature that the buds of this variety can withstand. But winter hardiness is a rather complicated concept, which includes complex resistance to all adverse winter factors.

In the conditions of the middle zone, the apple tree must withstand early frosts up to -30 degrees, have maximum frost resistance in the middle of winter at -40 degrees, and not be damaged during repeated frosts after thaws at a temperature of -25-28 degrees.

In fact, if you plant any apple trees zoned in your region and correctly follow the growing technology recommended for a particular variety, you will get an excellent result.
