FROM WHAT PLANTS CAN YOU MAKE A BLUE OR BLUE FLOWER AND GARDEN
Everyone who visits us understands what color the hosts like. Doors, window frames, a gate, a column, barrels for water, containers for ampels are painted bright blue. And in the garden, blue-blue "spots" of plants are visible.
Perhaps this is due to our stressful work in the past. My husband and I quickly bounced back, working and relaxing in the garden among greenery and many plants with flowers painted in blue tones. After all, it is these shades that help to cope with the negative and set up in a calm way. Blue, by the way, even has an analgesic effect, and purple protects the immune system. I won’t say that only such a gamut is present on the site, but there are periods when it prevails. This is June-beginning of July and October - the time of flowering of annual asters.
PERMANENCE
The favorite "background" in the garden is provided by two blue spruces and creeping junipers - the horizontal Andorra Compact, as well as the scaly Blue Star. Siebold's hosts Elegans grow in the shade around them with large bluish-blue leaves.
SPRING "NOTES"
The parade of blue flowers in May is opened by forget-me-nots, pansies and dwarf irises. Budra ivy is blooming. It grows in a sunny place. Beautiful, unpretentious, suppresses any weeds. Along the fence on the trellises, favorite creepers grow and bloom from May to September - princes and clematis of the Integrifolia group with blue flowers. Shrub care is minimal: watering 1-2 times a week and mulching in the fall.
SUMMER MOTIVES
At the beginning of summer, many species of aquilegia with flowers of purple and other shades, Aflatun onion, oak sage Mainacht, long-leaved veronica and delphinium of various blue-violet tones join the spring "blue-eyes".
From June to late autumn, hybrid clematis Solina, Blue Angel and Rhapsody bloom. They gently braid the trellises that separate the garden from the garden.
In July, when the sage fades, I immediately cut it to half a bush. Then it blooms again in September. But at the aconite clo-buchkovy at this time the buds are just beginning to open. His large jacket constantly attracts attention. Lilac-blue flowers appear on the host and purple on the Kobold lyatris. Powdery sage, summer aster Frikarta, panicled phlox Blue Paradise and Forget-me-not bloom. In the flowerbeds, "bouquets" of these plants are interspersed with airy cereals.
Sets off perennials elimus (grate) sandy with silver-blue leaves. He is handsome but aggressive. I plant curtains in a bucket without a bottom, limiting the growth of roots, or I dig sheets of slate around the bush.
AUTUMN "SPRAY"
In October, blue, blue and purple colors are raging again. A variety of cereals and perennial asters reign, which I adore. Every year I replenish the collection with new varieties of shrub and New Belgian groups with flowers mostly blue-blue - Lady in Blue, Schone von Dietlikon and many others.
These perennials surprise with lush and long flowering at the latest time for the garden, unpretentiousness, frost resistance. I plant freshly acquired or divided asters in the spring, and in the fall they bloom. Many varieties are often affected by powdery mildew. In this case, prevention is effective.
I select a place for plants along the edge of the flower garden so that they are well blown by the wind. I spray the bushes and shed the soil with biofungicides ("Trichocin, SP", "Alirin-B"; according to the instructions) 2-3 times per season. When planting and in the fall, I mulch with dry humus. In August, I apply fertilizer marked "Autumn". I water the plants 1-2 times a week in the absence of rain. I divide as they grow: some - annually, others - after 3-4 years.
