RULES FOR RECEPTION OF BEARBERRY
Bearberry will bring health benefits, but only if such raw materials are used correctly and subject to a number of restrictions. In particular, for some time it is impossible to eat animal protein food, it is necessary to replace it with vegetable food.
HOW THE BEARGERY IS PREPARED
It is ideal to purchase medicinal raw materials in a pharmacy. But if you want to prepare it yourself, then you can do it both in the fall, at the end of September, as soon as the berries ripen, and in the spring, in April, when the plant begins to bloom. The most valuable will be shoots 3 cm long, and those that are more mature should not be used for infusions and decoctions. There is little sense from them for human health.
It should be noted that the autumn harvest has its advantages, because during the summer the plant manages to absorb a large amount of useful substances. That is why raw materials collected in September - early October are usually of better quality.
The bearberry cut with a knife or scissors must be washed and dried, placed under a canopy or in the attic. Raw materials harvested in accordance with all the rules can be stored for no more than 5 years.
WHAT DO THE SCIENTISTS SAY?
Researchers from Bulgaria have proven that the use of bearberry is effective in tuberculosis - this plant alleviates the symptoms of the disease, but cannot cure it itself.
German scientists came to the conclusion that the greatest effect of bearberry infusion can be achieved only if cold water is used to prepare the remedy. True, this does not always work. If an upset of the gastrointestinal tract is to be treated, the leaves should be brewed with boiling water, due to which tannins are actively released, which are so necessary to fight the disease.
