5 Ways to Revitalize Bulb Flower Bulbs
HOW TO REANIMATE SHRINKLED AND DRY FLOWER BULBS
Flowerbeds with a variety of bulbs will transform any garden. True, the planting material of these flowers is very demanding on storage conditions. What to do if the bulbs are on the verge of death? Here are ways to revive them.
1. Wrap a wrinkled dried onion with obvious signs of a lack of moisture with gauze soaked in a 0,5% solution of potassium permanganate (this is literally 4 crystals per 1 liter of water). Do not exceed the concentration, so as not to burn the tissue of the bulb. It usually returns to normal after a couple of days.
2. If the scales exfoliate, then first remove a few outer ones, then soak the bulbs for 12-18 hours in a growth stimulator solution (Epin, Heteroauxin, Kornevin). Then plant in the ground. 3. Have you found places on the bulb that are starting to rot? This often happens when the storage room was damp (more than 85% humidity). Try to scrape off the rotten places to healthy tissue, and then cover them with brilliant green and, without washing off, put the bulb in damp moss. Then wrap in newspaper and transfer to a plastic bag, in which make 3-4 holes on each side for ventilation. In this state, the bulb should lie
4. If there is no moss, then after removing the rot, you can wrap the bulb for a day in a damp gauze cloth. Then transfer to slightly damp river sand for further recovery. Before planting, take out and dry in the open air.
5. If the bulbs are frozen, soak them for a day in a growth stimulator (Epin, Hetero-auxin, Kornevin), then transfer to a container and sprinkle with dry peat. In this form, refrigerate until planting (at least a day). the flowers are growing very well.
NATURAL STIMULANT FOR BULBS
Before planting, I soak the bulbs in a natural growth stimulant. I dilute aloe juice in water 1:10 and lower the planting material into the resulting solution for 4-5 hours. Then I immediately plant the bulbs in the ground. Thanks to this, my flowers develop very well. Natalia ANDREEVA
