A friend suggested that an infusion of Persian chamomile helps against spider mites, aphids, thrips, scale insects and mealybugs. Crushed flowers (100 g) pour 1 liter of water for 12 hours, then strain. For 1 liter of water, take 5 ml of infusion and 4 g of green soap, mix and spray the plants. Wash with warm water after 24 hours. Is this remedy effective?

From scale insects and a worm, such an infusion is useless. It can only help against aphids and to some extent from thrips. However, I am confused by the concentration. I think that it will be more effective if you take 20-30 g of dry pyrethrum powder per 1 liter of boiling water. Brew, cool, strain and immediately sprinkle with green soap. Can be enhanced with tobacco dust.
From a tick, pyrethroids do not work well. They are used only as an additional, secondary component or for containment. If you still use the recipe suggested by your friend, then you do not need to dilute the infusion.

In the greenhouse last summer, the lashes of cucumbers dried and turned yellow. On the leaves, we could make out a barely noticeable spider web, and then microscopic mites. They sprinkled the leaves with tobacco dust, but some of the bushes withered anyway. What are the remedies for ticks so that it is not harmful to eat cucumbers?

To combat ticks, you can use the biological preparation MatrinBio. It is created on the basis of the natural active ingredient matrin, obtained from plants of the genus Sophora, similar to acacia. The drug is detrimental to pests at different stages of development and destroys the eggs of mites, which is important to prevent their re-proliferation. The last processing of plants is possible in 3 days, therefore MatrinBio is used even on fast-maturing and green crops. The drug is safe when used in greenhouses, and due to its versatility, it destroys many pests: aphids, thrips, whiteflies, cutworms, leafworms, cabbage moths and whiteflies, cruciferous fleas, onion fly, asparagus leaf beetle, etc. Protection of the drug lasts up to two weeks .
