HOW TO FORM CUCUMBERS NOT ACCORDING TO SCIENCE, IN A SIMPLIFIED WAY AND STAY WITH THE HARVEST!

At the dawn of my gardening, I formed cucumber plants, as scientists advise: I counted so much from the ground, cut it out, then counted further and cut something out again ... I harvested - the cat cried. Then I remembered the simple advice of my grandmother and now I fill up my whole family with cucumbers. But in the greenhouse I have only two plants growing ...

I sow in the greenhouse only 2 bushes of the German F1 variety and wait for them to grow up so that I can tie them up. I loosely wrap the shoot with twine and fasten it on the upper crossbar, without pulling it hard. I measure 50 cm from the ground and cut off all the leaves, stepsons, antennae from below with sterile scissors or secateurs, remove the ovaries with my fingers in the sinuses.

The cucumber plant grows and develops, forming lateral shoots in abundance. I do not touch them, but only manage to harvest from them.

I pinch the growth point of the main shoot at a distance of 5-10 cm from the ceiling so that the plant does not burn from the sun. The entire crop, as I have already taken revenge, is formed on the side shoots. I also tie them with twine, but do not limit anything. If empty flowers began to appear on one of the shoots (and this also happens), then I cut off this shoot.

ZELENTSY GROW TILL NOVEMBER

These two plants bear fruit for me until mid-July. Then I tear out the bushes, slightly flavor the soil with humus, and on July 25 again I sow two cucumber seeds. From these two plants I collect fruits and - I collect until November. Enough for the whole family.

THE SAME ON THE STREET

In open ground, I also have a bed for 8-10 plants. Here I plant several bushes of Nezhinsky, Aquarius and Chinese Emperor F1. To the posts located at the ends of the beds, I attach a large-mesh plastic mesh.

Across the path from the cucumber bed, marigolds grow in me, which distract potential pests from food plantings.

On the street, I form cucumbers almost the same way. Plants grow and tendrils begin to cling to the net. I count 30 cm from the ground (only this is the difference!) And cut all the leaves, stepchildren, antennae and ovaries to this height. I give free rein to the side shoots - they weave as they please.

THE SIMPLE THE BETTER

My experience shows that such a simplified cucumber formation scheme is ideal for getting a decent crop on the site. Remember just two points of this method: cut all leaves, stepchildren and ovaries from below to a height of 50 cm in the greenhouse and 30 cm in the open field. And remove shoots with empty flowers. All!
