Will a street light shining through the windows at night harm my houseplants?

      — It all depends on the distance of the lantern and the brightness of its lighting. Most likely, it will not cause any harm, but you can still play it safe and hang blinds on the window and close them at night.

Is it possible to grow, for example, melon in an apartment?

Theoretically, everything can be grown in an apartment. For melon, it is important to choose a container suitable in volume, it should be at least ten liters, in addition, arrange something like a trellis to place the lashes on it and then regulate the number of fruits - leave no more than a couple on one plant. In addition, you will have to carry out manual pollination with a soft brush. Preference should be given to varieties with the earliest possible ripening period and the shortest vine. If it is cloudy, you will have to install additional lighting lamps to provide at least eight hours of daylight. Drafts and sudden changes in temperature should not be allowed, and the soil should be kept slightly moist, avoiding drying out and waterlogging.
