About leeks. I always sowed it in a greenhouse in early April. This year I sowed Exhibition onions there, but completely forgot about leeks; I only sowed them on May 4 directly into open ground. At the end of June, it was transplanted into a trench to the depth of a spade bayonet. After two months he had grown well, and I filled the trenches with earth.

I harvested leeks at the end of October, the harvest turned out great! Last year I tried to store it in boxes, since all the buckets were occupied with Jerusalem artichoke (I specially grow it to feed chickens).
But the leeks were poorly stored in boxes and began to rot. It is best to store it in buckets of soil or sand.
